    Do what we did and escape

    Was appalling . The room was filthy, old, and totally unfit for . Lasted 1/2 hr in the room and that was only because we were frantically searching for another hotel. Could not face spending the night there worried what bugs would be feasting on us during the night . The bathroom was disgusting , stained toilet, mouldy walls and filthy shower, didn’t relish the thought of using it. The man on reception was very helpful and gave us a free map which helped us plan our escape . Smack bang in the middle of an industrial estate littered with rubbish. Avoid avoid avoid ….

    Arrived at this hotel with no expectations but decided not to stay and checked out and moved to another hotel didn't feel comfortable being there as area was in an industrial state like place would never return to this hotel as there are better hotels at a similar price like the hotel we moved to.

    Sad and tired Premiere Classe in need of a makeover

    We have stayed here before, around three years ago, and it was a tired hotel then, so even more so now does it need modernising.The good bits first: the bed was comfortable and the receptionist supplied me with two extra pillows upon request.The not so good bits: the room needs a complete overhaul. The fabric is old and grim. The floor needed a good clean. The bathroom fittings are rusted from age and, my goodness, the toilet would benefit from a gallon of bleach being thrown down it and left for a week. Gross, I think is the word. (Room 102).In these days of Covid-19 precautions, people in France are required to wear masks in hotels, restaurants etc and there were notices advising the regulation. However, the receptionist was not wearing one when we booked in. He was wearing one the following morning, but under his chin!Again, because of Covid-19 we expected the breakfast trays to be made up for as we chose our items. No, the items were still displayed on plates and baskets, for everyone to breathe over them and touch them as they made their selection. Bear in mind that many guests did not have masks on and were not prompted to wear them. Well, when the receptionist doesn't wear one, or wears it improperly, what can he say?Sadly our last stay here at a Premiere Classe (and we are fans of the chain), which is in a superb area for visiting the beautiful Bordeaux.

    Fine for a quick stopover with secure parking

    We stayed here on our drive down from Cherbourg to Barcelona. For a hot shower and a comfortable bed after a long journey it was perfectly adequate. The parking was secure too, the reception 24hours and the receptionist friendly and helpful.

    Smokers paradise

    Arrived and waited at reception for five mins with nobody in sight, the air was heavy with cigarette smoke and I guessed correctly the receptionist was having a quick smoke, given a room on the second floor which upon entering was obviously the “Rothmans suite” , our friends arrived later and were given an equally disgusting smoke ridden room and when they went to complain had to wait because the receptionist was having a cigarette!!, I will not be staying in a hotel in this chain again as this seems endemic within their business and is totally unacceptable
