  A very disappointing stay and easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The room was extremely small and had an unpleasant smell upon arrival, which immediately set a negative tone. Unfortunately, things did not improve — the cleanliness was poor, with the room feeling generally dirty, and the bathroom was in a state of disrepair, clearly not maintained to an acceptable standard.The bed was particularly uncomfortable, lumpy and lacking even a proper headboard, making it very difficult to get any rest. Overall, it was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I struggled to sleep throughout the stay.This was far below the standard I would expect, especially in a country known for its hospitality. I would not recommend staying here.

  Awesome hotel to stay in Bordeaux

  From the moment we checked in until we left 3 days later, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and everything worked. It was quiet and right in the heart to be able to walk around to cafes, restaurants, and shops. Public transport right around the crn. Perfect place to stay, and it has an elevator. 😊

  Black mold inside & around shower & broken door jamb

  October 2024: We were not put in the main hotel but in their annex. The room was nothing like the pictures on their website. The shower & surround was full of black mold, the door jamb broken and there were cigarette butts all over the window sills & outlets didn’t work. We asked to move & they said they were full. Their receptionist found us another hotel so we moved. (It was more expensive) We asked for compensation and they offered us breakfast or upgrade on our next visit. Believe me we would never go back. We go to Europe every October and this was the only bad experience we’ve had.

  Nice hotel in a shopping area

  We enjoyed staying at this hotel. We had a small room (#10) but it was adequate for 3 nights. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a shower, not a bathtub. It was very clean and it faced the side street, on the 2nd floor (1st floor, European) and it was not near the elevator, so it was fairly quiet. The room was bright and the walls were stone, the same color as most of the buildings in the city. We had breakfast in downstairs. They offered cereal, croissants, breads, and meats and cheeses. The area was lively, with many cafes, coffee shops, chocolate shops and you could get a canelè on EVERY corner! I would suggest leaving this area, sometimes, for a more authentic experience in the city. The trams and busses were easy to navigate and close to the hotel. Purchase rechargeable paper tickets from the machines at tram stops. You could even get to Château Pape Clément by bus or tram for a tour and wine tasting, if you don’t have the time to leave the city.

  Stayed 5 days in this dump, what else to do when you are 5000 km from home. Staff was not receptive to any request, tried to get change for a 50, the answer was “no”, try to get clean glass for water because glasses were not refreshed during cleaning, the answer was “no, we do not have others”. Dirty dishes left in room for days by cleaning staff. Room did not look at all like pictures, while we selected a nicer room than their minimum room. Our room was between first and second floor, thus no elevator accessible and no light to come down at night. I cannot believe the other recommendations I read online about this hotel, what a farce!
