  Perfectly positioned for getting everywhere

  What a fab position this hotel is in. Reachable by the A tram directly from the airport wuth just a 7 minute walk. Around the corner from the Botanical garden- such a lovely place to take something tasty from the amazing bakery under the Ibis ,and sit and enjoy the plants, trees and lake. The number 25 bus, just a few mins walk away goes straight to the Cite du Vin. The A tram also takes ypu straight into the old city- get off at the Frog and Ros Beef and youre 3 mins for the Port Cailhau. The staff were welcoming. Because the rooms are very plain they are super clean. I personally found the bed hard but used the quilt for the bunk bed under me (we booked a 3 bed room with a queen bed and a single bunk over - watch your head though I banged mine really hard) .   I stayed in this hotel last week. I forgot a pair of shoes there. When I try to call them to recover them, neither the phone numer or e-mail seems to work. What's worse is that the Ibis Hotel, also located in La Bastide, won't have a working phone number to them or an e-mail adress. Basically I can say goodbye to the pair of shoes since there is no way I can contact them.

  It’s a basic budget hotel.Staff were welcoming, air con worked well, cleaning could have been better as used tissue found in one of the beds on arrival.About 15/20 mins walk from the historic centre but nice and quiet as a result.Lovely little bakery next door if you don’t want the breakfast provided.   It’s a budget hotel so don’t expect luxury. The room was fine, albeit small. Beds were okay relatively comfortable. There is a TV and separate shower and toilet. The room is quite noisy you can hear everything in the corridor as the walls must be thin. A kettle would be nice but understand as a budget hotel. Tramline outside and good location to access the city. It’s walkable. The hotel would not keep the baggage while we waited for the flight. I don’t not understand the reasons for this and it’s not stated on booking. Most hotels will accommodate this. Overall OK hotel and cheap.
