Location

This charming hotel is situated about 50 km from Bordeaux in a quiet village close to the Bordeaux motorway exit. There are walking areas and forests in the immediate area (within 500 m). The centre of Bazas is 1 km from the hotel, and there guests will find a range of restaurants, as well as the St. John the Baptist Cathedral. Guests can enjoy fantastic views of the historical village, in addition to the convenience of being within an hour’s drive of the Atlantic Ocean and the sandy beach of Lacanau. The hotel is also just a 30-minute drive from the Landes forest. Bordeaux – Mérignac Airport is some 60 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 10 junior suites, 2 suites and 38 double rooms located in a 3-storey main building and several auxiliary buildings. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day.     Great hotel. Perfect location for visiting the historic monuments in the area. Pool and harman good. Room spacious with a comfy bed. But bathroom spoilt by mould around the bath sealant.

    We enjoyed our overnight stay at this lovely hotel, just off the A65 . The beds were very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We had a comfort room so had extra big bed. We enjoyed using the indoor pool and had a hood meal in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very good.     Rooms good but restaurant food poor.

    The room good but restaurant food terrible. I ordered the most expensive steak with mushrooms vegetables and potatoes gratin to be cooked medium rare. Received the cheaper steak dish with onions and chips and green salad, cooked rare and cold. Told them of the mistake and they took the dish to change it and just a minute later returned with the same cold steak and salad and only had replaced the chips with reheated microwave potato gratin.The other main course for my partner was duck which was requested without the orange sauce cooked medium rare. It arrived covered with the orange sauce and over cooked. Therefore over priced bad food not expected from a logis hotel .

    Great place, very nice people overall. Excellent kitchen (except for breakfast, see below). I recommend it and would come back. Special mention to the people at Front Desk and to Fabian, total first class at the restaurant. But, there are a few buts: - Breakfast totally not worth it. More often than not, breakfast items cold (who wants a cold brioche?), and late on the replenishing.- You need to tell customers that their rooms will only be done if they put their signs out before they find out by themselves...- You need to change the pillows: The linen in ALL of them ends up slipping away from the pillow. Simply poor choice for the pillows (not particularly comfortable), or the linen, or both.- You need to take care of the snooker tables (buy some chalk, for goodness sake, and change your sticks -(or however those are called- every now and then!).Again, overall a place worth going back to.
