    A nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff ... situated in a harbour side area with lots of bars which can be extremely noisy late at night . The hotel only has a rooftop bar open which is quite soulless at night.     Great hotel and location - not so much the staff

    We arrived early in the day after a long train ride form Paris with a lot of luggage. Whilst we were met by friendly staff who offered to have us check in earlier than check in time as they had rooms, this great reception was quickly dented by the team being inflexible on deposit policy. This is standard for most hotel. As suggested by them, I had offered to pay for all bills at each outlet but this was later not accepted, and they insisted on a cash deposit. Though tired, I had to walk quite a distance to draw cash for the mandatory deposit. What made it worse is that on going to the bar, AFTER having put down the deposit, I was then asked to pay for my drink by the bar even after confirming they were holding a substantial deposit from me at reception. To be fair the bar team were very apologetic and accommodating however the front desk team were very unhelpful. On reporting this the next morning and discussing this with the SAME front desk agent that took the deposit, he was dismissive and rude saying his team were "really good" and so insinuated this must be MY problem.As a Hotel General Manager myself, I understand the rules around deposits and the need for them. However, the attitude with which I was received and the issue was dealt with left a lot to be desired. I would never return.     Pleasant experience at a modern hotel !

    My spouse and I visited Bordeaux for our Easter weekend and chose to stay here. The hotel rooms are equipped and clean. The location of the hotel is not central but it is well connected via public transportation. City centre is 15 mins away via tram, or 40 mins on foot - it is worth taking a stroll along the promenade by the river which has great views and lots of local markets, bars and restaurants along the way. The vicinity of the hotel is also full of restaurants and bars - not to worry since the hotel rooms have very good noise cancellation. Breakfast is modern and has ample options to feed all sorts of stomachs. The staff are helpful, courteous, and understanding. Highly recommend for those who wish to stay away from the crowded, noisy city centre.
