We arrived at the hotel today, and Alexis welcomed us very warmly at the front desk during check-in. He speaks excellent English. Room 602 was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was great. I would return. Close to Cannes and to the beach. Wonderful stay and shout out to Patrick and young lady who worked the breakfasts for making us feel at home.

We had a lovely stay at the Best Western Astoria. Our flight had been delayed so we had a late checkin. Patrick was working the front seat and he greeted us with a smile and made us feel right at home. A young lady with blonde hair setup and cleaned up breakfast ( which was yummy) and she saved the day when one of our kids left their retainer at the table. Much later that night the kid realized they had left it and because of her and other staff who held it, we didn’t have to pay for a replacement!:) As we left Patrick again was working and entertained us with a cool magic trick and made sure we were happy with our stay which we were. Thank you!!! Camille R, Service clients/Réception at Best Western Astoria, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your delightful experience at Best Western Astoria! 😊 We're thrilled to hear how warmly Patrick welcomed you despite your late arrival and how our breakfast staff's attentiveness saved the day with your child's retainer. Our team takes pride in ensuring memorable stays, and it's wonderful to know that Patrick's magic trick added a special touch to your departure. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!Warm regards,Camille - Customer Service

Great location, good service, But no A/C
14 Aug 2024
The hotel is close to the beach and close to the main street with restaurants and clubs. It is nonetheless quiet. The service is good and the staff made us feel at home. But there was no air conditioning for the entire time we were there, seven days!!!! It was 33 degrees and there was only a slight amount of air coming out of the vents. We couldn't sleep and woke up sweating. They kept saying that they would fix it, but never did. It really affected our holiday. There is parking, which is good, but it's tight and the barrier didn't seem to work so someone always had to open it for us. This was only a minor issue.Check out is 11am and if you overstay by just a few minutes, they will threaten to fine you.Overall, great location, good service, overpriced, very uncomfortable without air conditioning, did not meet our expectations. Camille R, Service clients/Réception at Best Western Astoria, responded to this review Dear Guest,We appreciate your positive remarks regarding our prime location and excellent service. 🌟 It's wonderful to hear that our team made you feel at home and that you enjoyed the tranquility despite being close to the vibrant city life. However, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the air conditioning issue during your stay. We understand how it impacted your experience and are actively working to ensure such situations are addressed promptly. Your feedback about the parking and check-out process is invaluable, and we are looking into improvements.Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, and we hope to host you again under better circumstances.Warm regards,Camille - Customer Service
