When you only need to sleep

    rating26 Jul 2025

We stayed at the hotel on our way thrrough the alps. We arrived in pittoresque village, village was nice and calm. We were greeted in the hotel by the smell of fried cheese and something more, unknown. The receptionist didnt speak engljsh but we managed anyway. The room was not very nice, dirty carpet on the floor and old bathroom which smelled like sewage. The price for the room was ok 90 euro, but almost an overprice for the dirty room. We didnt have breakfast

    Great service!

    rating04 May 2018

We arrived late in the evening on a rainy day and were very happy to find there was a room available. The owner Jean-Pierre was charming and helpful and spoke fluent English! He was even kind enough to offer us an upgraded room at the price of a regular room.He even provided us with his own personal kettle until the next morning so we could make ourselves a cup of coffee that evening and the next morning.Jean-Pierre carried our 2 suitcases up the stairs without even being asked to do so.When we woke up the next morning I commented to my wife that I noticed the bed was slightly at a slant but that I solved this inconvenience by adding a pillow. Before leaving he suggested some places nearby that could interest us.All in all it was a lovely stay. The room was impeccably clean and the linens of the highest quality.

    Stay away from this hotel!

    rating16 Aug 2017

The room we had received at this hotel was with a very sloping floor all along the room, which made us feel, as soon as we enter the room, severe dizziness, headache and nausea. Since we were told that there is no room available at the hotel, we had to look for another hotel at night.Though we stayed in the room only for about two and a half hours, during which we felt very bad, the receptionist refused to return the payment and angrily claimed that the slope in the room is “not so great”. We asked him to help us in downloading our heavy suitcases from the room through the many stairs to the entrance of the hotel, but he did not help us and only shouted angrily at us. HOTELPREJOLY, Propriétaire at Hotel le Prejoly, responded to this review Thank you ... yes ... stay away from our hotel! This answer is intended for those who wrote this comment but especially to those who will read it, because anyone on anything can write you lies that become slander and the only answer once the posted message .. Is to answer. And that makes a hotel anecdote to tell you!We are always respectful of our guests, whatever they are and even for this time we have remained courteous despite the wanderings of these customers from Israel, with all our respect. As soon as they arrived at the front desk they asked before checking in ... to see the room ... accompanied to the room, they threw themselves on the beds to check their comfort! (our new bedding is for a 4 * category) ... and said ... we took the room ... then once they got their luggage from the car .. waiting at the front desk for help to carry their luggage ... (as for all the customers ... to know that in category 2 * there is no compulsory porter!) I carried two large suitcases to their room , explained to them the different functions ... and ... and went back down and up since Madame asked for a glass of hot water ... then went down again ... and, two and a half hours later, Mister came to the reception to tell me that Madame had a headache, that she had nausea because of the floor in parquet (a new floating parquet floor) which was not right !! And asked me to change room ... impossible because we were fully booked... he said "then we go and we do not pay for the room".We called Booking.com, by whom the reservation was made and explained what appened. We proposed to these people to find a room elsewhere, but they refused, preferring to do by themselves.Luckily Booking.com gaves us reason for the abnormal behavior of these people and confirmed their confidence and non-refund of the room used (beds defeated, bath taken, etc ... for 2h30!)Monsieur, on leaving, menacingly, told me that he would avenge himself by all means, etc.And yes, sometimes but fortunately rarely, you have customers ... not quite ... goods in their heads!End of the story!Receive our cordial greetings.Jean-Pierre and Carole Gamelon

    FIVE STAR SERVICE

    rating04 Jun 2017

Found this hotel whilst traveling from Glenoble to Nice . Upon arrival met by the owner and the welcome could not have been friendlier, Jean-Pierre was a delight his English is great, so helpful(even carried our bags up to our suite) his advice on what to see and do in the area was much appreciated and as it turned out was spot on. Our suite (21) was on the first floor and was great, renovated and finished with high quality fixtures and fittings , shower(large) and toilet areas beautifully tiled , comfortable large bed with quality linen, and the little extras that you don't get in some big hotels in France , fridge, individual soaps etc, a balcony over looking a park and the mountains as a back drop . If viewing this hotel in on line booking do not be deterred this is a great hotel although the building is old the interior is great, the price is very reasonable the owner Jean-Pierre charming and helpful short distances from scenic spots Grasse, Gourdon etc, we recommend this hotel to all travellers and in particular Australians who would like to explore the area a get a real taste of France( I forgot to mention good parking and excellent wifi to. All the best with your on going project Jean-Pierre Trevor and Linda

Beautiful room and a warm welcome!

    rating07 Sept 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We know St Vallier very well and Le Préjoly was our first choice. Our beautifully renovated room was very comfortable, the bathroom extremely clean and our view of 'Le grand pré' and the mountains from our balcony simply stunning! The couple who own the hotel were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us - would thoroughly recommend Le Préjoly!
