  Worst beach restaurant in the South of France

  I have only complained twice in a restaurant in my 46 years—this was one of those occasions.This was, by far, the worst restaurant experience I have had anywhere in the world. The food at a McDonald’s drive-through would have been considerably better.My salad arrived consisting of little more than lettuce and half of a tiny tomato. The French fries tasted like school-dinner chips, and the service was virtually non-existent.Despite sending my meal back, not one member of staff apologised, asked what was wrong, or offered me an alternative. The complete lack of customer care was astonishing.We are staying in the newly refurbished, more luxurious part of the hotel, where the restaurant and service are exceptional. The contrast between the two areas is genuinely like night and day: one feels worthy of five stars, while the other feels like a zero-star establishment.An extremely disappointing experience and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed standard.

  First class hotel with excellent staff

  A first class hotel. Stunning views . Amazing staff , so polite and helpful . I’ve never had anything like it in France before . Exceptional ! The food is extremely good, especially at the Yaktsa which is an annex up the road fromMain hotel . But it’s like a private villa , quiet. No children , a Michelin star restaurant , peaceful à la carte breakfasts . The rooms have all been refurbished , get one with a balcony as most have a sea view. They will run you want main hotel whenever you want , 2 mins. That hotelHas another lovely pool and is next go thr sea. You can jump in or go down steps . Paddle boards available free. A very special hotel . Try it at least once in your lifetime!!   Exceptional sea access and wonderful staff — but poor sleep comfort

  Tiara Miramar Beach Resort is a hotel I will remember primarily because of its extraordinary location directly by the sea.The hotel itself is pleasant, although the rooms feel somewhat tired and are not particularly special. Our first room was on the sixth floor and had a truly fantastic view, but the queen-size bed was not ideal for us, and water ran out underneath the shower enclosure.The hotel kindly moved us to a larger room on the third floor. It also had a beautiful sea view, a larger balcony and a shower that worked properly. The welcome was very thoughtful, with a beach bag containing useful items, including a cooling water spray, as well as a small Fragonard soap and fragrance gift.Unfortunately, sleep comfort was the weakest part of our stay. There was no pillow menu, the pillows were genuinely poor, and the mattresses were extremely firm without a mattress topper. We did not sleep well, which is an important weakness for a hotel in this category.The reason I would nevertheless return is the bathing area at sea level.This is not a sandy beach, but a series of terraces built into the rocks with loungers, parasols and ladders leading directly into exceptionally clear Mediterranean water. The pool is located on the level above, and during our stay families with children generally remained there. The lower sea terraces therefore felt calm, grown-up and almost completely free of children.It was by far the most memorable part of the hotel.The restaurant is charming and has an incredibly beautiful view. The food was good and nicely presented, but the prices felt high for the food itself. You are clearly also paying for the location and the view. I would strongly recommend requesting one of the outdoor tables, as the setting is romantic and much more special than sitting inside.Breakfast was acceptable rather than memorable. However, made-to-order omelettes and properly prepared coffee were included without an additional charge. The staff understood individual coffee requests and consistently served what we ordered, which we appreciated.The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely kind and did everything possible to make guests feel welcome. The hotel appeared understaffed, and the team was often extremely busy, but they remained friendly, helpful and attentive.The tennis court is located slightly hidden across the road. It is a good court, but leaves had not been swept away on either of the two days we played, which made the maintenance feel overlooked.Guests should also be aware that the property is built across several levels with many stairs between the hotel, pool and sea.Would I return?Yes — primarily for the exceptional sea-level bathing terraces, the clear water and the warm service.The rooms, beds and pillows need improvement, and the restaurant is expensive, but the relationship between the hotel and the sea makes Tiara Miramar a place I will remember.

  Amazing new Adults-Only Retreat – Yaktsa Pavillon

  I stayed at the Yaktsa Pavillon in July, the new adults-only retreat of the Miramar Beach Resort, and I was absolutely delighted with my experience. If you want to relax without the sound of children or simply enjoy a little more peace and privacy, this is the PERFECT place.The building has been completely renovated. There is no traditional reception desk; instead, there is a kind of concierge service, with someone available to assist you with anything you might need. I found this approach much more relaxed and personal, especially as the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.The rooms have a subtle Oriental touch, with brand-new, extremely comfortable beds, and are very cosy overall. I had asked for an additional armchair so that I could comfortably watch TV (Tour de France-Time :-) ), and my request was taken care of immediately and without any fuss.Unlike the main Miramar building down by the sea, the Yaktsa Pavillon is situated at the top of the hill, offering spectacular views across the entire bay. The pool is absolutely fantastic: an infinity pool overlooking a beautiful little bay below. The water is pleasantly warm, so I could easily spend an hour just sitting in the pool, enjoying the peace, quiet and stunning scenery.Around the pool, there are plenty of sun loungers and daybeds where you can relax, and food and drinks are served directly by the pool. Throughout the day, practically all you hear are cicadas and birds – an absolute dream.One thing I particularly appreciate is that the hotel consistently enforces its adults-only policy. Guests who arrive with children or young Teenagers, despite the adults-only concept, are offered a complimentary shuttle down to the Miramar, where they can use the pool facilities there. This means that guests who specifically book a room at the Yaktsa because of its adults-only policy can genuinely enjoy the peace, quiet and child-free atmosphere they were looking for.The Michelin-starred restaurant “Or Bleu” is also located within the Yaktsa Pavillon and is, without a doubt, one of the finest restaurants I have ever visited anywhere on the Côte d’Azur.If you are genuinely looking for peace and quiet, and simply want to enjoy the breathtaking surroundings undisturbed – whether as a couple or travelling solo – while relaxing in the pool with a drink, James Bond-style, soaking up the sunshine without shouting or noise, the Yaktsa Pavillon is absolutely perfect.If, on the other hand, you prefer a livelier atmosphere with more activity, the main Miramar hotel down by the beach will probably suit you better. For that reason, I think the concept of having two completely separate areas works extremely well.I will definitely be coming back!
