Nice hotel, nice staff, clean rooms, location is ok 5 minutes walk from the airport and about a 25 minute walk to centre of Carcassonne and the citadel cite, only negative is they have a small swimming pool which unfortunately was dirty and the drinks are high in price but overall it is a good hotel.

We had an excellent stay at Kyriad. The room was as expected, basic but very clean. The breakfasts are buffet style, included are cereals, fruit, a variety of breads, ham, cheeses, bacon and egg. It filled us up for the day. Evening menu was limited but the food was very good. The pool was clean, and we had it to ourselves most evenings. As mentioned on previous reviews, its quite a walk into the Cite, and 20 euro's for a taxi, around 10 minutes if you have a car. However the location is handy for the autoroutes, if like us you want to explore the region. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We would recommend Kyriad

The bedrooms are very, very basic and the hotel itself is shabby. The reception/breakfast area/pool area are in a different modern building which is beautiful. The breakfast is good but expensive. The evening meal was dreadful.The hotel was very reasonably priced and is ony 15 minutes walk from the airport and 40 minutes walk from the town. There is a McDonalds across the road and a shopping centre & Lidl closeby.The hotel advertises a balcony with the room but there is no balcony., The hotel is like a motel where there is a walkway outside the rooms. This is not a private balcony and you certainly couldn't lie or sit out there

I visited this hotel from the 6th July 2020 and stayed for 4 nights- so this is when the lockdown restrictions had been eased and the travel corridor to France had been opened.Very clean, staff taking all precautions for safety against Covid-19- perspex shields in reception, staff wearing masks, regular cleaning and gel available everywhere. What I like the most about the staff is that they were very friendly and helpful despite my french being poor. They often went out of their way to make sure we were happy and didn't need anything. You could tell they were happy to be back at work and were grateful for customers visiting restoring their livelihood. The staff were that good I would employ them myself.The room was very clean and spacious and the hotel is located a 5 minute cab ride from the airport- roughly 6 euros in a taxi. The pool area was clean and well maintained, the pool was the perfect size and very clean. Pool towels were in abundant supply- we didn't have to ask for anything it was perfect.The hotel is located close to a large supermarket, there is also a chinese restaurant close by called Woks which was awful so don't be tempted to go there. At the hotel there was a full selection at the reception bar from fine cognac to fine wine, also Stella beer and an array of soft drinks- all priced fairly. This hotel also offers food, I didn't try it but it looked and smelt amazing, breakfast was continental all fresh and plenty of juices.I would highly recommend this hotel to all travellers, it is good for families, singles, couples all ages. If you plan to visit the Medival city of Caracassonne it is about 20 euros in a taxi, the town is about 13 euros in a taxi and the train station is about 13 euros. Taxis arrive generally in about 10 mins once ordered in reception. I'd recommend a day trip out on the train to Narbonne-which has a wonderful cathederal that allows you to view the bishops living quarters and a museum that houses paintings and a bust of Louis XV1, it also boasts a beautiful canal showered in floral decoration. Also Narbonne Plage which has a gorgeous beach and coastline unspoiled by tourism this costs about 2.50 euros on a bus from Narbonne. Tolousse is also 40 mins on the train- lots to see. Caracassonne is a great base.A special thanks to- this is where I'll apoligise in advance- the lady on reception with short short blonde hair, the lady with bob length blonde hair and the girl whose name begins with 'O' think it was Othellio- unsure but they are excellent stand out members of staff.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Carcassonne Kyriad and both times have been excellent. I don't have enough nice things to say about the team: all of them are polite, friendly and very, very helpful. They have a new swimming pool and a frozen yoghurt machine at breakfast :-)All these little improvements show the care and desire of the staff to make everyone's stay happy and relaxed.Thank you!
