Disappointing Hotel

Hotel was in a great location and staff in reception were friendly.However, on the first morning we advised them that the extractor fan and hairdryer didn't work. We were told maintenance would get onto it. Nothing was done. The pedal bin in bathroom was broken, we could stick the shower cap box to a drinking glass in the bathroom as the glass was so sticky, and the standard lamp didn't work. The sliding bathroom door did not shut fully leaving a 1 inch gap.My husband had a cooked breakfast on the first morning and it was barely warm. The member of staff 'greeting'guests in the breakfast room was more interested in her mobile phone.We loved Carcassonne but this 4 star hotel was very disappointing.

Online reservation went wrong: their website changed date by 1 day, so on arrival they refused to change the date and made me pay double even though the hotel was not fully booked.

As part of a group of 9 we ate at the restaurant this evening. The service was poor, the wait time was 2 hours and the steaks served up to us were uneatable despite remonstrating with the chef.

Utterly appalling!!

What a terrible experience!! We have been regularly guests this hotel choosing it because our welcome and stays have been great.On this visit far from that! A particular member of staff on reception and restaurant made our visit absolutely awful. On the first complaint the hotel manager kindky acknowledged our upset. We were returning 4 days later. Again this member of staff on duty was utterly appalling with her attitude towards us. And as we found out numerous guests made complaints.We even ate our evening meal in the 5 star restaurant to avoid a battle with her. It needs to change as the hotel will loose out with her dealing with guests. Unsure if we will rebook for another visit.

A very well located hotel, we stayed for x3 nights. Great for exploring the old and new town and the castle. Parts of the hotel needed updating in terms of decor. There Good functioning air conditioning. We opted for half. Board and the evening meals were amazing. Breakfast was excellent. It was disappointing that for our complete stay the room televison did not work and nobody could advise when it would be fixed.
