As close to a 4 as I am to walking on the moon

The exterior is lovely — unfortunately, that’s where it ends. The room is extremely tired and in need of a thorough clean. The toilet flush button was absolutely repulsive, and the scratched toilet seat didn’t help. Paper coffee cups in the room are not what you expect in a hotel that claims to be above 1–2 star level. Breakfast although very limited did its job. Service in the lounge was poor; the waiter was unhelpful and it felt like too much effort to be served, so we left and went elsewhere. We chose this hotel purely for its proximity to the station, but in hindsight it would have been better to take a taxi and stay somewhere else.

Convenient for Travellers arriving by Train.

    rating12 Dec 2025

All though extremely convenient for Travellers arriving from By Train, The establishment is outdated still living in the 80s. Room on the 2nd floor very tired to include the furniture and facilities. Mouldy bathroom sealant and again outdated basin, overhead shower and WC. Dining room in the evening had poor ventilation. Upon entry you were hit with unpleasant cooking smells from the kitchen. I would not stay here next visit to Colmar.

    Perfect stay!

    rating07 Oct 2025

This hotel is opposite the station in Colmar. It is a beautiful well maintained hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and first class bathrooms. Everything is spotlessly clean and top quality. We stayed here two nights. The breakfast was faultless with a great selection and very classy surroundings but also very homely. Walking distance about 15 mins to centre of old town. An incredibly beautiful little town! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Terrible

The facility needs a complete overhaul. My daughter and I reserved a junior suite and were quite disappointed. Chairs with holes, no shampoo in bath, ineffective air conditioning and a housekeeper who should never work with the public. I neglected to bring the room key with me which I discovered when we returned to the room. We asked a housekeeper if she could open the door for us. Rightfully so, she refused and my daughter went to the front desk to get another key. As I am standing in the hallway, the housekeeper is going completely off. True, she was speaking French but I could recognize "American." Another staff member arrived and the two of them spoke in French but were clearly talking about the "American." I have never been so humiliated in my life. I kept saying "I'm sorry," but they went on and on. When my daughter returned to the hallway with the new key, we went into our room. I started crying once inside the room as I have never been treated like that. The situation infuriated my daughter and she went to talk with the manager on duty. The housekeeping supervisor and the rude housekeeper came to our room to apologize. I certainly appreciated the apology but the damage had been done. I wish I had read the reviews prior to making the reservation. I am a very seasoned traveler with almost 2 million frequent flier status so I have stayed in many hotels and nothing like this has ever happened to me.
