Coach tour of Gorges du Prunelli, Corsica

An excellent tour of the Prunelli Gorges of Corsica. Not the place to drive if you are nervous! Narrow roads with numerous blind bends.Beautiful scenery and plenty of stops to get photos.

disappointment for what could have been a very nice stay if the website was providing honest information
09 Jul 2025
We specifically booked a suite that was supposed to offer an outstanding open view over the Ajaccio bay and were deeply disappointed to end up in room 1101 (not on the 11th floor, but, mind you, in French, sur le 1er etage) directly on the flat roof of the restaurant with a far lesser partial view. The gap between what is advertised on the website and the reality (I took photos to document it) is so wide that I am wondering if it might border on fraudulent. I am still in Europe for a few more weeks but upon returning home to the US I will consider getting in touch with the Maryland OCP (Office of Consumer Protection) to get their views on this matter. Management, contacted twice, has been unresponsive and declined even a very modest request for a modicum of flexibility (checking-out at 2 pm vs. 11 am on our departure day) to partially assuage our disappointment Angeline CARLI, Owner at Best Western Plus Ajaccio Amiraute, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us. We are truly sorry to read about your disappointment regarding the view from your suite and the overall experience you describe. Please allow us to clarify that all our apartments and suites do face the sea, as shown on our website. The view naturally varies depending on the floor, so higher levels offer a more elevated perspective, while lower floors are closer to the restaurant roof but still oriented towards the bay. We can assure you that there is no intention to mislead, and we are sorry if the room assigned did not meet your expectations.Regarding your late check-out request, we regret that we were unable to accommodate it. During the high season, our property is fully booked daily, and allowing extended check-outs would unfortunately impact the arrival of the next guests. We understand how this added to your frustration, but we hope you can understand the operational constraints during peak periods.Your comments have been shared with our team and will help us continue to improve. We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide you with a more satisfying experience.Kind regards,Ilyasse - Responsable RéceptionBest Western Plus Ajaccio Amiraute

Clean and comfy

Excellent hotel! Front desk staff, Emrico, was very helpful. Our room was impressive, clean, and very comfortable. Nice view from the balcony in the spacious suite. It's a long walk to the city centre but doable. Easy ride to the airport too. Angeline CARLI, Propriétaire at Best Western Plus Ajaccio Amiraute, responded to this review Dear client, Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us. Emrico and the entire front desk team appreciate your compliments. We're glad you enjoyed the room, the balcony view, and the overall comfort of the suite.Although the city center is a bit of a walk, we're happy it was manageable for you. We're also glad to hear that the airport was easily accessible. We hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Ajaccio!Best regards,Ilyasse – Front Desk ManagerBest Western Plus Ajaccio Amiraute
