Hotel-Restaurant Marina Di Lava is ideal for a relaxing getaway with no fixed agenda,just time to unwind and enjoy the beach. It also offers great value for the price of the stay. We stayed in this hotel as part of our round trip around the island, and it was the best choise that we could do in this trip.We came after the opening hours of the reception, and we have informed the hotel about it, luckly the hotel team was faster and sent us an email with the relavent information how to get in the room. Crap. Avoid at all costs. Over priced little concrete boxes with little to no service, poor food

Crappy little concrete boxes with sandpaper towels, two paper cups and no internet. Terrible service that closes at 8 pm. Restaurant is quite poor

The Lava Gulf is really beautiful with its large shore and colourful waters. The hotel classifies as a 3 star, however location, room size and overall services definitely upgrade the stay at this facility.Rooms are spacious, very nicely refurbished and have all necessary details for a very comfortable stay. The view straight on the gulf enables you to enjoy breathtaking sunsets!The restaurant serves delicious food and a very good breakfast, far better than many others we visited in Corsica.The personnel is very friendly, attentive and helpful.Prices are adequate to the hotel quality.

Beautiful serene location on the beach perfect for a couple of nights

This is a hidden gem! This is a wonderful little beach hotel. The offers are very warm, welcome clean, accommodation and access to beach bar and restaurant.. It is set in a beautiful tranquil location , a beautiful beach, welcoming staff a fun beach bar and restaurant . The breakfast option was excellent, lots of variety, very fresh and great value for money .The location is fairly remote so a car is needed.

We were initially concerned when we arrived at the complex because the road leading there seemed endless with poor markings and once we got there finding parking was a bit of a nightmare. We soon realised why the parking was so bad, and that was because the beach there was superb!The young Portuguese lady at the reception desk immediately made us feel welcome and explained that the car park was just extra busy due to it being a Sunday and this was proved correct as parking was available later. The apartment we had was lovely! The bathroom was finished beautifully and the shower was all we could have asked for. The bed was large and comfortable and the small garden area was perfect to sit out on at the end of a long hot day. We were lucky to have a tree right outside the back so we had plenty of shade but still enough sun to dry our towels etc.The restaurant was brilliant, the food superb and the staff helpful and friendly even when very busy.As Ive already said, the beach was amazing! There was plenty of space on the soft sand and the sea was calm and warm.If I’m searching for negatives the only thing I can say is that the breakfast was pretty basic and repetitive and the only time we tried to order at the bar the language barrier seemed too much when even just asking if there was any food available.One word of warning, the roads are very windy, the island is bigger than it seems and the resort is a little distance from most of the larger towns so be prepared to travel if you want to experience different areas.Other than that I can’t recommend the facility enough. We genuinely had a lovely, relaxing experience.
