  Little value for a lot of money

  Great view (we took sea view rate and totally worth it), reception fantastic, although weird schedules (but that’s France for you I guess), but receptionists are kind and very helpful. The best in the place.Then you have bird sh$*t all over the building where our room was, not once was it cleaned in a week, you pay extra for towels in a more than €100 a day stay, no soap, no nothing. Be prepared to head to the nearest supermarket to buy some essentials.Overall you get the view and the hospitality of the receptionists. Too little for what we paid for. Oh, and the mattress is terrible, lowest tier you can possible imagine.

  Disappointing, poor upkeep, dirty

  In principle, I would only give this hotel one star but the staff were friendly. Also I don't wish to blame the residence for the rain that was falling. However, when we arrived we were sent on a treasure hunt to find our apartment and our car nearly got stuck in the mud. When we found the place we walked through knee high weeds to get to the front door (see photo). The bathroom was moldy and the counter around the cook top was dirty. The bed was only 140 wide.We had taken a slightly more expensive apartment with sea view but could just see a patch of the sea through the other buildings. The apartment was void of decorations except for one poor print hanging in the bedroom. Otherwise everything was white, white, white.We had booked for three nights but left after one.

  Room with a view

  We are a family of 4, traveling with our young dog of 1 y.o. We stayed here for a week. Our apt. is located at the 1st floor. The room itself is very basic. Closed to the entrance is the master bedroom, next to it is the wc. Separate room with bathtub/shower. A kitchen corner with dining furnitures and a sofa bed, which hadn't been made up yet upon our arrival (it's a self done service unfortunately). Room has a balcony which facing to pool area and a beautiful view of the bay of Plage Cupabia.Staffs are very friendly, unfortunately they are only several hours available at the front desk for any inquiries or assistance. We could drive our car in the compound only on 2 occasions: on the day of the arrival and departure. During the stay, the car need to be parked at the sandy parking area. In the compound, there is a little shop selling daily needs such as bread, vegetables, fruits and any other necessities. Pool is occasionally overcrowded, unfortunately there aren't many pool beds. Swimming pool is quite small for the amount of guests staying there during our stay, but it is a well tempered pool and again the view from the pool is fabulous! Not far from the compound, about 5 minutes walk are couple of restaurants available or else car is needed to travel bit further for more choices and varieties of restaurants. Plage Cupabia is about 15 minutes drive from the apartment, or there is walking path from the compound to the beach, which took us about 30 minutes one way.Usage of washing machines and drier are not free. Special coins has to be purchased at the front desk.Towels rental is also not FOC.

  Excellent Views

  We have just come back from Alba Rossa. We stayed as a family of four (15yrs & 22yr old) in a one bedroom apartment which was ample for our needs. Having read other reviews we went with the advice of one with a sea view and wow so glad we did what a stunning view we had, a sea view is a must if booking these apartments. The staff where very friendly and everywhere was lovely and clean, the complex was very relaxing and quiet, pool never busy. The free wifi was good we also managed to connect to this on Cupabia beach. I would definitely go back and highly recommend Alba Rossa although you would need a car as remote. Having said that it was never far to get anywhere and although I was bit worried about the hairy roads these weren't as bad, we took our time and pulled over if a car was up close behind us, the journey from the airport was less than an hour, the journey to the beach was less than 10 minutes and to the nearest large town of Propriano about 20 mins. If you are thinking of booking these apartments I'd say go for it you wont be disappointed.

  Very relaxing stay

  This résidence has a very quaint and comfortable feeling. Despite it being full, it was quiet and enjoyable. The accommodation is basic but in good condition. The staff are extremely friendly. Location is quite remote, but that's what we wanted. Two friendly and decent restaurants are within walking distance. A beautiful and child friendly beach is in the bay. Either a tough 30min walk or 10min by car. Thanks to remoteness, the beach is not nearly as crowded as others we've seen on the island.All in all a very pleasant stay!
