  Stunning hotel!

  06 Aug 2026

Stunning hotel with beautiful architecture and history. The room was huge and perfect for our family of 4. Beautiful arched stone ceilings and windows looking out to a walled garden. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were helpful and welcoming. Perfect location being 5 minutes from the car park and Dijon centre. Highly recommend!

Not clean! Found dead bug in bed

  08 Oct 2025

Very disappointing experience – refund refused after finding a bedbugWe booked a night’s stay with our family (including two young children) after a long 600 km journey. Everything seemed fine until we were about to go to bed and I found a dead bedbug on the duvet. After comparing with online photos and reporting it immediately to the reception, the seriousness of the situation was confirmed: the room was declared unusable, an investigation would follow, and we were told we would receive a refund.Out of fear of bringing bedbugs home in our luggage, we drove back home that same evening — another exhausting 600 km with two small children in the car. Not exactly how we planned to end our day. After a long silence from the hotel, we finally received word that no further bedbugs had been found during their investigation, and therefore we would not receive a refund. This is completely unacceptable. The fact remains: we could not use the room due to an unhygienic and unsafe situation. The hotel going back on their earlier promise is highly unprofessional.I do not enjoy writing negative reviews, but I feel compelled to do so in this case. We hope the hotel will still take responsibility and refund the amount paid — as was initially promised. Guest Relation, Owner at Odalys City Signature Apart'hotel Dijon Centre Les Cordeliers, responded to this review Hello,We are very sorry that this experience has affected your family's stay and we fully understand your frustration and concern. The discovery of a bedbug, even if isolated, is indeed a worrying situation. We sincerely regret that this situation has forced you to cut short your stay and hit the road again.Following your departure, we carried out a thorough inspection of your accommodation with a specialist company, and no insects were found. We've even sent you the inspection report stating that the room was in good condition. When we receive a report of bedbugs, we systematically call in specialized professionals to carry out a thorough and rigorous inspection of our rooms. We understand your disappointment regarding the final decision following the investigation carried out. Refunds are subject to conditions, and the absence of bedbugs after the room has been checked indicates that it was safe.We remain at your disposal to address your concerns and sincerely hope to regain your trust. The Odalys City team

Poorly cleaned room outside the monastry with a moldy smell and only cold showers, but a great breakfast buffet.

  A lot to improve

  16 Aug 2025

Honestly, this review should have been 1 star, but since the people at the front desk treated us so well, I'll give it 3.We stayed in August when it was 34 degrees...and the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. It was practically impossible to sleep, and we were mainly worried about our pet.We reported this and they gave us another room with air conditioning (that's when we discovered that there are rooms with air conditioning)... but in this room the toilet didn't work and the shower door was broken. The elevator and the drinks machine didn't work either.Staying in an old monastery should be a magical experience... but for that to happen, it needs to be in good condition. Otherwise, it makes no sense, especially for a 4-star hotel. Guest Relation, Owner at Odalys City Signature Apart'hotel Dijon Centre Les Cordeliers, responded to this review Dear customer,Thank you for praising the positive service of our reception team, which we appreciate despite the difficulties you have encountered.Your concern about the lack of air conditioning during the August heat is entirely understandable.Although you were offered an air-conditioned room as an alternative, the problems with its equipment clearly compounded your frustration. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Please be assured that our maintenance team was immediately informed of these specific problems.Your detailed comments are extremely valuable in helping us to improve our services and avoid similar situations in the future. We hope to hear from you soon,The Odalys team
