  Great hotel but 5pm check-in

  04 Apr 2026

Firstly, my only niggle but my fault. I never noticed the 5pm check-in anywhere on the booking. We arrived at the hotel at 11am to be told the rooms wouldn’t be ready until 5. Next time we stay, I would probably get a later flight. Anyway, the positive and there’s lots of positives. The location is absolutely perfect, it’s about 50 metres to the bottom of the big Jandri gondola, which takes you to the top of the mountains .Breakfast has a good variety of hot and cold food along with decent coffee Evening meals were buffet style with a great selection.I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again when we return. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Hotel Les 2 Alpes L'Oree Des Pistes, responded to this review Dear Martyn,We appreciate your candid feedback; thank you.We are delighted to hear you had such a wonderful stay at Belambra Hôtel Les 2 Alpes L'Orée Des Pistes. It’s fantastic you appreciated the variety of breakfast options and enjoyed the evening buffet selections. Our team takes pride in offering diverse choices to start the day right and wind down after skiing. We regret any inconvenience caused by the check-in timing and appreciate your understanding. Our standard check-in starts at 5 PM to ensure rooms are fully prepared, but we’re always here to assist with luggage storage and slope access beforehand.Lastly, we’re thrilled our proximity to the Jandri gondola added convenience to your adventures. Having the slopes just steps away makes those early runs even sweeter. We hope to provide you with a more enjoyable stay in the future.Kind regards,

Excellent 3 Star Hotel in a fantastic location

  12 Feb 2026

I've skied in numerous resorts across Europe and Canada. This review is based on a hotel which is rated 3 stars. In other words; "you get what you pay for".This hotel is excellently located about 50 metres from the very efficient Jandri lift and is essentially allows a ski in/ski out experience. The room was very spacious (a twin and a single) and would go as far as saying this was one of a largest rooms I can recall being allocated. It was cleaned every day to a good standard. I was slightly concerned about the room overlooking the ice rink noting other reviews making mention of this, however, the music promptly stopped at 9.15pm each evening and did not in any way spoil the stay. The food was buffet style with plenty to choose from and on the whole was quite tasty although was often cold. The hotel could benefit from additional heating to keep the food warm. However, I revert back to my previous statement 'you get what you pay for' and in that context, the food was pretty decent and certainly wouldn't consider this to be a reason not to stay here. That said we ate in the Brasserie one evening (hotel allows a swap for one night) and I was very disappointed with the general atmosphere (layout needs to improve) and steak had a distinct burnt taint. Likewise, the bar completely lacked any atmosphere and felt unwelcoming so we went to a local pub each evening. The ski room is a good size with individual lockers allocated to each room. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English although I always try to use a bit of French as a matter of respect. In summary this is an excellent 3 star hotel and the skiing in Les Deux Alpes is excellent. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Hotel Les 2 Alpes L'Oree Des Pistes, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are thrilled to hear that you had such a wonderful stay at Belambra Hôtel Les 2 Alpes L'Orée Des Pistes. Our team takes pride in maintaining comfort and cleanliness for every guest and it's rewarding to know that your room met your expectations. We’re also glad that you found the ski room convenient and our staff welcoming during your time with us.However, we regret any inconvenience with meal temperatures and the evening dining experience. Our buffet typically features heated options, so we'll review this to ensure better consistency. Your observations about the Brasserie and bar atmosphere are noted, as we aim to create inviting spaces for all guests.Nonetheless, we’re delighted our prime location, near the Jandri Express cable car, enhanced your ski adventure. Being steps from the lifts makes exploring Les Deux Alpes effortless, and we hope it added ease to your days on the slopes. We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future.Kind regards,

  Fabulous hotel

  26 Jan 2026

The position of the hotel is perfect in the centr of the village.Five steps from the bootroom and you are at the bottom of the slope just five metres from the massive and very efficient Jandri cable car. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The dining room is very pleasantly set out. Breakfast has everything you might want and is very good quality. Dinner is also good quality. Both meals are buffet style. There is plenty of food at dinner but because many people load their plates with a portion of every meat and fish on offer and more than one dessert, some things run out. Therefore its advisable to arrive early for dinner. This hotel would also be a fabulous base for a summer walking holiday too. There is a vey helpful tourist info office opposite the hotel and the bus stops in front of the hotel. Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Hotel Les 2 Alpes L'Oree Des Pistes, responded to this review Dear Yvonne,Thank you very much for this kind review. It's fantastic to know you enjoyed your stay at Belambra Hôtel Les 2 Alpes L'Orée Des Pistes. We're delighted our central location added convenience to your ski adventures and that our team's warm service made you feel welcome. Your appreciation for the spacious, well-maintained rooms and the quality of our dining options truly motivates us to keep delivering memorable experiences.Thank you for highlighting the variety at our breakfast and dinner buffets. We continuously work to ensure ample offerings for all our guests and appreciate your understanding during busy times. We look forward to welcoming you back for another excellent experience with us.Kind regards,
