  A supreb stay

  08 Apr 2026

This hotel combines the very best of a hotel and a high end chalet. Our room (one of the suites) was absolutely superb -- the best room we have had in 20 ski trips -- clean, modern, spacious and beatifully decorated. The location is superb, just across the road from the main chair lift, and super convenient for the ski rental next door. The staff could not have been better -- in particular they did an amazing job swinging into action at 6.00am to sort out an alterative airport transfer after a mix-up with our original booking, with both one of their junior team members and one of their senior managers taking personal charge to make sure an alternative was found (which took about 20 phone calls). A special mention too for the breakfast croissants, which were the best I have ever had. Overall, the hotel is a gem -- classy, clean and understated, with every comfort we could have asked for. We will definitely return. Charming Hotel with Great Atmosphere Despite Minor Flaws

  05 Apr 2026

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the unique, cozy atmosphere of this hotel. It has a lot of character and charm, and the location is excellent – right next to the gondola base station and just a short walk from many great restaurants in the village center. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and a big plus was that no extra charge was applied for our child. The owner and the entire staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. The bar area looks fantastic and very inviting, although unfortunately it was closed during our stay due to the end of the season. The game room is quite outdated, but in a nostalgic and charming way (table tennis, old arcade machines, mini billiard). There are a few areas with room for improvement: the wellness area is somewhat limited – the pool is on the colder side, the sauna only opens in the afternoon, and the outdoor sauna, while cute, is not very warm. At one point in the afternoon, there were also no towels available.Another minor inconvenience is that there is only one elevator for a six-floor hotel, which can lead to waiting times when the hotel is busy. The garage is also quite old, but it somehow fits the overall character of the property.Overall, despite a few imperfections, this is a very charming hotel with a great atmosphere and outstanding location. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return. Rooms refurbished at last !!

  15 Mar 2026

Excellent hotel. We have been coming here of the last 10 years. Excellent bar, restaurants, amenities and location. Last year we commented that the rooms were looking a bit tired with same decor for last 10 years. This year redecoration had taken place and now the rooms are much more like the 5* hotel that it is. Alexis M, Propriétaire at Chalet Hotel La Marmotte, responded to this review Hello,Thank you so much for your kind and continued loyalty over the past 10 years. We are truly delighted to hear that you enjoy our bar, restaurants, amenities, and location. We also greatly appreciate your feedback regarding the rooms! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon for another memorable stay. The Chalet-Hôtel la Marmotte, la Tapiaz & Spa**** Team

  Weekend Ski Trip

  12 Mar 2026

Finally after many years visiting Les Gets with our family, we returned for a couples ski weekend staying at The Marmotte. Location, facilities and staff are 100%. The staff are helpful, quick and efficient. One of the quickest reception check ins we’ve experienced. Hotel decoration is beautiful and kept very clean. The only negative is that our superior slope view room was in need of upgrading and decoration especially the bathroom. The room itself is traditional with great, large corner balcony looking out over the slopes and good sized bedroom with large super king bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom is dated albeit very clean and plenty of hot water. Excellent large spa facilities with added outdoor sauna and hot tub with views of the slopes.La Bistkatcha and on slope restaurant La Paika are the best restaurants in Les Gets. We will return. Alexis M, Propriétaire at Chalet Hotel La Marmotte, responded to this review Dear Victoria,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed our location, facilities, and especially the quality of service provided by our team. Your kind words about the reception, cleanliness, spa facilities, and our restaurants are truly appreciated.Thank you as well for your constructive comment regarding the room and bathroom. A renovation program is planned for certain rooms in the near future to further enhance our guests’ comfort. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again very soon for another memorable stay in Les Gets. The Chalet-Hôtel la Marmotte, la Tapiaz & Spa**** Team
