Very good. But no thrills.

Good experience;staff were really friendlyRooms were spotlessGreat location, close to the town & funicular to get up the hillRooms were basic but we knew that at the time of booking. The breakfast options are limited to toast, pastry, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs and bacon. And didn't change while we were there.Had a pizza one day that was good.Bar doesn't stay open super late.Use the communal space upstairs there's a pool table and sofas to chill out.But all in all it served our purpose. Groupe BASE CAMP LODGE, Propriétaire at Hotel Base Camp Lodge, responded to this review Bonjour,Merci d’avoir pris le temps de partager votre retour détaillé.

Perfect stopover on the way to our ski holiday
15 Feb 2026
We stayed for one night en route to our ski holiday and couldn’t have asked for a better stopover. The room was immaculate, cosy, and extremely comfortable — just what we needed after a long drive from the UK. The underground parking was so convenient, and the electric charging point was a huge bonus. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here. Groupe BASE CAMP LODGE, Propriétaire at Hotel Base Camp Lodge, responded to this review Bonjour,Un grand merci pour votre superbe retour !

We stopped here for two nights while on our way to Val d Isere. Hotel is very clean, friendly people and has a great vibe. We also ate in the restaurant one night, food was great based on the price point. Horrible
24 Dec 2025
If you like your room to be heated don’t stay here. Our room was cold- I asked the front desk how we turn the heat on and we were told “the heat comes on at 5” it was 5:45pm and we had no heat. The lighting in the room is dim and you can’t see anything. We wanted to have a drink at the end of our day and were told we had to wait until 7pm. What? This place isn’t cheap but it seems like a cheap hostel for backpackers. Very amateur place. Embarrassing to call yourself a lodge. Groupe BASE CAMP LODGE, Propriétaire at Hotel Base Camp Lodge, responded to this review Bonjour,Merci d’avoir pris le temps de partager votre ressenti.
