We go to this hotel bar every year after our day skiing, a group of us, for a nice bottle of wine. This year it was different. One of us asked for a bottle of rose and was shown the menu, and also told that there was only one bottle. They waited 20 minutes and nothing arrived, so they asked again. Then the rest of the group arrived. Still no bottle of wine, so a different person than asked for a bottle presuming it was the one that had been originally requested. It turned up and was delicious so we asked for another. when we went to pay the bill we were shocked to see that the bottle of wine was €75, this was never explained to us when we ordered and also not the price on the bar menu. Why would a waiting staff presume that we wanted to spend €75 on a bottle of wine? We had a bus to rush for so didn’t really read the bill before paying, until we were on the bus and were quite disgusted by this. As a result will not be returning, which is a shame because we used to really enjoy our apres ski drink here. Be warned, ask first what the price list is.

The Peupliers Hotel has been under new ownership for the last few years . I agree at the beginning the changeover did not go well , new inexperienced staff etc. The staff this year, are fabulous , well trained , friendly and welcoming .The main restaurant is seriously good. The quality of the food is way above a lot of the principal restaurants in 1850. We shall certainly continue to be regular customers . Sandra Pinturault, Propriétaire at Les Peupliers Hotel, responded to this review Dear customer,Thank you very much for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that our staff, the warm welcome, and the quality of our cuisine made your experience enjoyable. Your compliments and loyalty are a wonderful recognition for our entire team and encourage us to keep up the good work.We look forward to welcoming you again very soon. The team at Hotel Les Peupliers - La Maison Pinturault

Great Hotel well located in Le Praz

The staff are friendly. Breakfast is great, and the location of the hotel is close to a lift. Make sure you use the ski lockers near to the lift. The hotel has a great restaurant and there is a few other restaurants close by. The steam Sauna is also good. Julien Chamoux, Directeur général at Les Peupliers Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,What a pleasure to read your review. Tt feels like a small guide to making the most of Les Peupliers and Le Praz! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the breakfast, the location, and of course the steam room, a welcome pause after a day on the slopes. Thank you as well for highlighting the ski lockers and nearby restaurants; your tips are spot on.We’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team. We hope your next visit will be just as smooth, cosy and well-fed as this one.Warm wishes,The team at Hôtel Les Peupliers

Wonderful hotel, great location, lovely atmosphere, great service, good breakfast. The staff were all very friendly & on the whole service was excellent. Great breakfast also. However breakfast service in the mornings was usually a little slow...could do with more staff. Overall - recommended! Julien Chamoux, Directeur général at Les Peupliers Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We're delighted that the hotel, its atmosphere, and the friendliness of our team made your stay a pleasant one. We’re also glad to hear that breakfast was a highlight, even if the morning pace sometimes felt a little slower than expected. Your comment is noted, and we’ll continue to adjust our staffing to better match peak times. It’s always encouraging to be recommended, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again very soon.Warm regards,The team at Hôtel Les Peupliers

Nice comfortable and clean

Extremely compfortable have stayed a few times. Only poor experience is the breakfast service is poor , the staff are inconsistent and slow to take orders for hot drinks and cooked items.Great location and v clean. Please place a sign in the steam room , I brushed my leg against the v hot steam wand rather painful . Julien Chamoux, Directeur général at Les Peupliers Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for returning to stay with us, it truly means a lot. We’re glad the comfort, cleanliness and location lived up to your expectations once again. That said, we’re sorry the breakfast service didn’t meet the same standard, and we sincerely regret the incident in the steam room. A sign is already being added, and we’re reinforcing our breakfast procedures with the team.Your feedback helps us do better, and we’re grateful for it. We hope to have the chance to welcome you again soon , for a stay that’s smooth and enjoyable from the first coffee to the last moment of relaxation.Warm regards,The team at Hôtel Les Peupliers
