  We go to this hotel bar every year after our day skiing, a group of us, for a nice bottle of wine. This year it was different. One of us asked for a bottle of rose and was shown the menu, and also told that there was only one bottle. They waited 20 minutes and nothing arrived, so they asked again. Then the rest of the group arrived. Still no bottle of wine, so a different person than asked for a bottle presuming it was the one that had been originally requested. It turned up and was delicious so we asked for another. when we went to pay the bill we were shocked to see that the bottle of wine was €75, this was never explained to us when we ordered and also not the price on the bar menu. Why would a waiting staff presume that we wanted to spend €75 on a bottle of wine? We had a bus to rush for so didn’t really read the bill before paying, until we were on the bus and were quite disgusted by this. As a result will not be returning, which is a shame because we used to really enjoy our apres ski drink here. Be warned, ask first what the price list is.

  The Peupliers Hotel has been under new ownership for the last few years . I agree at the beginning the changeover did not go well , new inexperienced staff etc. The staff this year, are fabulous , well trained , friendly and welcoming .The main restaurant is seriously good. The quality of the food is way above a lot of the principal restaurants in 1850. We shall certainly continue to be regular customers .   Great Hotel well located in Le Praz

  The staff are friendly. Breakfast is great, and the location of the hotel is close to a lift. Make sure you use the ski lockers near to the lift. The hotel has a great restaurant and there is a few other restaurants close by. The steam Sauna is also good.   Wonderful hotel, great location, lovely atmosphere, great service, good breakfast. The staff were all very friendly & on the whole service was excellent. Great breakfast also. However breakfast service in the mornings was usually a little slow...could do with more staff. Overall - recommended!   Extremely compfortable have stayed a few times. Only poor experience is the breakfast service is poor , the staff are inconsistent and slow to take orders for hot drinks and cooked items.Great location and v clean. Please place a sign in the steam room , I brushed my leg against the v hot steam wand rather painful .
