    Smoke filled restaurant

    rating02 Apr 2026

This hotel's location, cleanliness and ambiance is amazing, only 3 big things let the place down. 1. The room safe wasn't bolted to the wall and it took them the night before we departed to get it fixed. 2. The bloody FIRE IN THE RESTAURANT! the chimney in the restaurant doesn't draw so the smoke wafts out across the restaurant. You will stink of smoke and if you are asthmatic, you are doomed. I'm all for the log fire alpine experience, but I hate stinking of smoke and I prefer my lungs full of air, not smoke. 3. Don't do this trip with Crystal ski, their reps are terrible! All over you when they want to sell an excursion, nowhere to be seen when you have a problem and they are liars. We had to eat elsewhere after inhaling 2 nights of smoke in the restaurant. The rep told us that they would initiate a refund for the half board/ evening meal portion of our holiday - got home to find out that they had not initiated anything and told the London office that they knew nothing of this offer being made. This bloody fire and the way the reps dealt with the issue ruined an amazing hotel. Oddly, we have noticed that issues with the fire were reported last year on trip advisor, so it's not a new thing. So, for those of you complaining about how cold it was in the restaurant, you have two choices. Slowly die of smoke inhalation, or feel a little cold - Your choice, be we won't be returning. Louise - Directrice, Propriétaire at Hotel L'eden Des Cimes Vacances Bleues, responded to this review Thank you Paul for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We are truly delighted to hear that you enjoyed our location, the cleanliness and the overall atmosphere — this means a great deal to us.However, we are sincerely sorry to hear that you experienced some inconvenience during your stay. Please accept our apologies regarding the issue with the in-room safe; this was being resolved in stages, and we were specifically awaiting a delivery of tools to repair it.We are particularly concerned by your comments regarding the fireplace in the restaurant. Creating a warm and pleasant alpine atmosphere must never come at the expense of our guests’ comfort. We take your comments very seriously and are actively reviewing the situation to ensure adequate ventilation and a pleasant dining experience for everyone.Regarding your experience with the external tour operator, we are sincerely sorry for the frustration this may have caused you. Although they operate independently of the hotel, we regret that this situation had an impact on your overall stay.Louise- Hotel Manager.

    Great stay and great location

    rating31 Mar 2026

We have returned to this hotel again and have had another great stay. We love the ski in, ski out ease of the location. There are plenty of ski lockers in the boot room and they are easy to access from the main foyer. The staff in the dining room have been excellent this year. Itzalen and Gabriel have been especially helpful, making sure that I know the options that are available for my gluten free diet. The two of them have made sure to check the buffet choices are safe for me and I really appreciate their care. All the restaurant staff have been very helpful even at very busy times and the desk staff have been friendly too. Louise - Directrice, Propriétaire at Hotel L'eden Des Cimes Vacances Bleues, responded to this review Thank you very much Cathry for your loyalty and for this wonderful feedback! We are delighted that you once again had an excellent stay and that our ski-in/ski-out location contributed to your experience.A big thank you also for your kind words about our team. We will be sure to pass on your compliments to Itzalen and Gabriel, who will be very touched by your appreciation, as well as to all the staff in the restaurant and at reception. We are particularly pleased to have been able to cater to your dietary requirements and to have provided you with peace of mind and comfort throughout your stay.We look forward to welcoming you back very soon! ❄️Louise- Hotel Manager.

Great hotel, shame about the restaurant temperature

    rating29 Mar 2026

Lovely room and location. However the restaurant is extremely cold. There is a fire that is not lit and observing others I can see many like me are wearing numerous layers to keep warm. It is such a shame as the food is of good quality and the waiting staff v attentive. Just lighting the fire would help especially as it is ~8 in the evening outside. Louise - Directrice, Propriétaire at Hotel L'eden Des Cimes Vacances Bleues, responded to this review Thank you very much for your kind feedback regarding your room, our location, and the quality of both our food and service — it truly means a lot to us.We are sincerely sorry to hear about the temperature in the restaurant during your visit. Your comfort is very important to us, and we regret that this aspect impacted your experience. Please be assured that your comment has been shared with our team so we can address this promptly and ensure a warmer, more pleasant atmosphere for our guests, especially in the evenings. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon for a fully enjoyable experience.Louise- Hotel Manager.

    Great hotel

    rating16 Mar 2026

Great ski in ski out hotel. Polite helpful staff and perfect ski food to keep you full on the slopes. Only tips - pillows in the bed two cushions and one small square pillow two decent pillows per person would make a huge difference. A good night sleep is essential after a day on the slopes All our details had hotel l Eden des cimesBut the signage by the escalator etc has vacances bleues. This made it hard to find when the coach transfers drop you at the bottom car park. A description on how to find the hotel would help as dragging suitcases and ski gear through the snow is tiring. But that said great hotel staff and holiday and amazing balcony views of the slopes. Louise - Directrice, Propriétaire at Hotel L'eden Des Cimes Vacances Bleues, responded to this review Thank you so much for your kind and detailed feedback 😊We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay, especially our ski-in/ski-out location, the friendliness of our team, and the food — it’s great to know it helped keep you going on the slopes! And we completely agree: those balcony views are something special ✨We truly appreciate your constructive suggestions as well. Your comments about the pillows and the importance of a good night’s sleep are noted, and we’ll definitely look into how we can improve this for our guests.Thank you also for pointing out the confusion regarding the hotel signage and access from the car park. We understand how inconvenient that must have been, especially with luggage and ski equipment. We’ll work on providing clearer directions and improving visibility to make arrival easier in the future. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you back again very soon for another great stay in the mountains ⛷️
