    Disappointing chalet

    rating11 Feb 2026

We arrived in the rental with a lot of expectations from the photos, but we were disappointed. The photos are taken at a wide angle, which gives the impression of a large cottage, when in reality the accommodation is much smaller than we imagine.Regarding the kitchen, the hob takes a very long time to heat. Pros: a complete kit was available (dosettes washing machine, dishwasher, sponge, etc.), which is appreciable. No door closes properly, including the toilet, which is not very comfortable in terms of privacy. In the rooms, several bed slats are missing or broken, and some plastic supports to hold them are no longer present. This makes sleeping patterns unstable. In addition, there was a lot of dust and cobwebs everywhere. The living room table is also very damaged: the covering is holed, torn and very worn.It is indicated that the accommodation is non-smoking. However, when we went out to dry our ski suits, we discovered many butts on the terrace and in the grass in front of it. We had to clean up ourselves. The outdoor swimming pool is not private as might seem, but common to the whole subdivision. Finally, the mountain view directly overlooks the main road of Morillon, with lots of traffic, which generates noise.Mixed stay considering the price and presentation of the accommodation. Far too expensive for the service offered!

    rating03 Mar 2025

We were very disappointed by our stay at the NEMEA chalet in Morillon. The main reasons are as follows:- Very poorly equipped kitchen: no storage / no cupboards (had to store our groceries on the ground pdt a week. Is it normal?...) / no oven! (but just a small microwave) / Lack of dishes (1 course for 4 people or the chalet is for 6/8 people), minimalist dishes (For example: 4 water glasses for six)... - Very inadequate lighting (had to lower the night lights of the bedrooms to light the living room) - No door in the cottage closed properly (doors scrape the floor / very noisy...)- Inadequate heating: electric convectors of the 90's / broken cases... - Chalets by the road (noisy and dangerous for children: needs to cross the main road to take the shuttle). - Very average environment: the "view" of the chalet overlooks the other chalets (bof) / no mountain view, pity- Chalets far from the village center (altitude 700m) and slopes (needs to take the shuttle then climb to the resort at 1100m with eggs).- No entertainment in the village (hard for teenagers at the end of the day)- Communal swimming pool: warm or cold water (shower water in changing room: cold every other day)-The garage of the cottage did not close...NEMEA apartments / chalets remained blocked in the 90's and 90's... It's a shame! With a little investment, the cottages could be pleasant. In short, we regret having paid so much for the service offered. Let’s feel like we’ve been mistaken for “pigeons” by NEMEA.Unfortunately this is our second negative experience with NEMEA Vacances (cf. 2023 - Aussois). We will not repeat the experience with this provider.Otherwise, the ski resort (1100 m) is quite nice and the ski area very nice. Unless you drop your children at the club "Piou-piou / cub": requires walking 250m round trip (downhill then uphill), the club being below the chairlifts. Not practical at all!Despite these negatives, we spent a pleasant week of skiing thanks to an extensive ski area of good quality. But really bcp too expensive for the proposed service. We will not retake NEMEA for our holidays. Originally submitted in French on www.tripadvisor.fr. View originals.

Great stay in Residence Champelle de Bois

    rating13 Apr 2019

Highly recommended. Chalets are quiet, spacious and comfortable and the pool and sauna are great at the end of the day. Nice to have gig tv and dvd for the kids. Close to ski bus but we hired a car to get around to Samoens and large supermarket on the road to samoens for everything you need. Morillon is quiet and relaxed but not much nightlife, late season skiing Morillon has a lovely lake with great activities such as a tree top climb and horse riding, Samoens in livelier and has good restaurants.
