    Marmotel is surely the best hotel in Pra Loup. Ideally located right on the slopes for a ski-in/ski-out experience.The hotel has been refurbished, offers tiny but very comfortable rooms.The living room with live firepit is an ideal place to rest and meet other people.Ideal for a family vacation.Highly recommended!     We came back because we loved the atmosphere and the style of this hotel. The fact that it's adjacant to the pistes is another big plus. Breakfast is ok. We took dinner in restaurants across village. Enough decent choices.

    We stayed with a motorbiker group for 5 nights. In summer it was nice to be in the cooler climate in the altitude. Rooms are nice, service is good. We typically had diner on the terrace, thast was very nice. Iwould recommend Marmotel for groups as our with 12 persons.

    Stayed at the Marmotel with two young children. I would 100% recommend. It says the hotel is a 3* but if you take into account the location next to the slopes, ease of getting to the lifts and the incredibly friendly and helpful staff I would give it much, much higher. Breakfast is excellent and all you need for a good start to the day (decent coffee too, which is important for me)! Rooms are cleaned daily, fresh towels when needed, water everyday, comfortable beds, warm radiators for drying gloves, lovely views. Relaxed seating area with a log fire for the evenings. The resort is very friendly and has been perfect for our first family ski trip. Being so close to the slopes has been essential for a stress free and most enjoyable holiday. Lessons have gone well. The Marmotel has offered more than we were expecting and have genuinely had the most wonderful staff in all areas of the hotel (reception, bar, breakfast, ancillary).

    Not ready for an avalanche of cyclists, but very kind to an individual with an injury

    Chaos ensued when 200 plus cyclists descended on the hotel at 1-2 pm to check in and get a shower and a nap - and the hotel hadn't prepared, or added staff to get the rooms ready before the usual 4 pm check in. While I was waiting, a guy who had gotten a room came down to say the room was full of flying bugs - and he didn't get much empathy from staff, as they said they had no other free rooms, they were full.On the other hand, in the morning the staff was incredibly empathic to me - i had an injury and couldn't walk much - they walked me to the breakfast area, served me huge quantities of food to choose from, carried my luggage down to the car, and generally were really solicitous.It looks like a fun place to stay for skiing,cozy and stylish main area and bar, and right next to two lifts. ANd in the winter their restaurants are open - be warned that in the summer, they are not. That being said, for a full hotel, we had been given all rooms before 3pm, and most of them were given by 2pm.The gentleman with the flies’ bugs’ problem has also called me a "jackass", hence perhaps the lack of empathy I gave him. However, his problem was sorted in 10 minutes, the time for us to kill the flies and vacuum them.I am glad you appreciated the Morning staff and I will make sure to pass onto them this good comment.Finally, I shall come back to your last point, the restaurant which Indeed is closed on summer time, as per indicated on our website.
