  On January 25th we arrived to this accommodation, and first of all we received a room that was made for 4 people and two children. There was 6 of us, all adults. We asked the reception to change the room, and we received the same type of room which was dirty. Our kitchen supplies were dirty, and we barely had any kitchen utensils, we were cooking with spoons and forks, and the knifes were basically there for nothing as we were not able to cut anything with them. We didn’t receive not even 1 roll of toilet paper. We also didn’t have anything to clean with, just a broom. This was a huge minus for us because on our check out day, the staff deducted 100 euros from our security deposit because we didn’t have a mop to wash the floors. I asked for the manager, who said that it was deducted because the microwave was dirty ( we used the microwave 2 times) also( it was dirty when we received it. The attitude the staff and the manager had towards us was also unacceptable, I tried explaining the situation to both of them and it only resulted in them saying they don’t trust us and that if the staff says our room is dirty then it is dirty. This is not true, because the employee who checked our room was standing in our door as we were cleaning, so he saw that we were cleaning and we even asked for his help on what to mop up with as we didn’t have one. I do not recommend this apartment to anyone because the staff is not nice, the rooms aren’t well equipped and these people will try to make money from anything they can. Also it is compulsory for every institution like this that houses or serves guests to have a complaint book. They did not have one so bravo for the level of professionalism. Again I would definitely not recommend anyone to visit this place! It is a disgrace. So, we decided to charge 69€ (and not 100€) composed of 30€ for the kitchen and 39€ for cleaning everything.Our staff remain available for any question,The Management

  You get what you pay for!

  Apartment was not very clean and very tatty. Reception was slow and process was time consuming. Check out not simple either having to book an inspection. Location to slopes was good however. Bed was comfy, though took our own pillows.Didn't use pool so can't comment on that. But it was the cheapest in resort so....Next time we'll pay more.   Cheap and cheerful

  Good price but a 6 person apartment is not good for 6 adults, only a family or students! There is no sound insulation within the apartment, very little privacy and not enough seating for everyone to sit comfortably in the lounge area. However the staff at reception were excellent.   Decent stay, very poor service.

  Staying in an 8p apartment with friends, as part of a larger group of 42 for wintersports, I had very mixed feelings about it all. We arrived sometime after noon on Saturday, and had to store our luggage in a garage on top of the hill until we could enter our rooms at 17.00h. That itself was disappointingly late, since checkout is between 8 and 9, depending on location. To make matters worse, we didn't actually get the keys until around 19.00h. We then found a poorly cleaned apartment with several broken lamps (that were never fixed during our week-long stay) and a broken coffee machine. The latter was replaced the next day, no complaints there. The amenities were even more disappointing. As part of a large student group, we weren't allowed to enter the swimming pool at all (rumour has it a similarly large group had caused significant problems the week before, hence the change of heart) and the ski lockers are not accessible after 19.00h. They are locked and the room keys do not give access anymore, meaning that you have to bring your stuff inside if you arrive back from the apres ski later. The beds themselves are decent enough, especially if you are tired from a day on the slopes. The pillows, however, are very soft and thin, and caused my neck to hurt a lot in the first few days. Eventually, I resorted to using a pillow from the couch, which helped. At the end of the week, we were supposed to have our apartments cleaned and ready for inspection at 8.10h. This is considerably earlier than the 10.00h we were originally told, although I am not sure if the fault for this lies with the residence or the travel organisation. Still, we were ready on time, but only one person had to inspect all the apartments, meaning we had to wait until well past 10.00h after all. Not only frustrating, but it also cost us time on the slopes. All in all we had a fun week, where the only noticable downside was our accomodation... As you can imagine, it is never easy to organize a group arrival, but our team does its best to install our residents in good conditions. Indeed, we recently encountered problems with the cleaning company that takes care of our residence. We had to reorganize our management and of course, necessary steps will be taken to improve our guests experience next year. Concerning the ski lockers, it's true that we secure it after 7pm. But our residents rarely come back 2 hours hours after the slopes closing. Your remarks are taken into account, both in terms of cleaning and access to our facilities.   Reasonable place for price but rude manager

  The place is reasonable considering the price you pay, but the staff is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. They gave us an unauthorized cleaning fine. We disagreed but the manager would'nt even talk to us and physically dragged us out of the hotel, very rude and not a way to treat your guests. A shame! You know our cleanliness requirements, but you left during the night, by leaving us with a dirty apartment, that's why we asked you a cleaning fee. Imagine that all our residents act like this, it would be impossible for us to provide a good service, which complys with expectation of everybody.It is a shame to confuse residence and hotel, knowing that we always do our best to propose clean and comfortable apartments to our residents. As you mentioned, a stay in Les Chalets du Bois Mean offers you an excellent value for money. You also enjoyed our beautiful location, close to the slopes, near les Orres station center.
