    Prone to cancelling your reservations short notice!

    Awful. Cancelled our ski trip a week in advance despite us having paid in full. All ski hire, kids lessons etc booked round hotel. Left us struggling week before to find alternative and then had to make do with far less continent holiday. We made best of trip but sounds like they did this to several others! Avoid avoid avoid!

    Do not Trust your Booking with this Accommodation

    Do not trust this property. I have just received a cancellation notice from them, 4 days before travelling for a Half term skiing holiday for 6 people and now having to find almost impossible to find alternative accommodation at this late notice. Similar to other posts on this site, this is unacceptable and will now not only inconvenience but cost me much more at such late notice.

    Disappointed booker

    We were due to take a large family party to these apartments in February half term. We booked and paid direct to the company many months ago. Having seen reports on social media about a number of late cancellations by the company in January, and eventually discovering evidence online that the apartments were temporarily forced to close in December 2024, we contacted the company to query and then cancel our booking. We received no information about the residence being closed from the company itself, and were left booking a large party elsewhere at late notice and increased cost. Had we not seen the reports on social media from other disappointed holidayers, I have no doubt that we would have been non-the-wiser and still expecting to be able to stay at the residence.Although we eventually received (most of) our money back - communications from the company have been limited and only when prompted by us. I cannot comment on the state of the residence itself, but I would not risk booking with this company for this accommodation, or indeed any other accommodation managed by the parent company, in the future.

    The holiday that didn’t happen

    Having booked a trip for 10 people almost six months ago, you can imagine how disappointed and upset we all where to be notified that the Sun Valley Appartments had cancelled our reservation with no explanation a week before we where due to travel. Having booked flights, transportation, ski hire, restaurants and lift passes our only option is to try and find alternative accommodation with 5 days to go in a resort that is now sold out.I would seriously consider booking with a organisation like Sun Valley that fails to communicate with its guests and leaves you high and dry at the 11th hour.

    12 person chalet with 3 soft seats!

    Great car park and swimming pool/hot tub/sauna area and on piste.....however our 12 person self catering chalet has 3 places to sit comfortably in the evening. I say comfortably but what i mean is one rock hard pew/wooden bench with pads. Apparently we are the only ones to notice the lack of seating all season and reception really weren't sure whether there should be another sofa or not! Thank goodness there only 7 of us. At least reception were able to supply us with extra mugs to drink from when we pointed out there were only 4 for our 12 person apartment.Please be aware there are no boot warmers in the flooded dirty ski lockers so there is no choice but to don ski boots in the chalet and walk through the accomodation.Only 2 toilets and a lot of wasted space. Writing this as we wish we had known.
