    Wonderful camping

    rating21 Jun 2024

This is wonderful small campsite. Many people seem to use it as a stopover for a couple of nights as it's on a convenient route south, however we stayed for two weeks and loved it.The owners are always helpful & friendly, the facilities are great - clean showers etc. There is a good swimming pool - much appreciated on hot days! The area is gorgeous, and views from the campsite just beautiful. Very peaceful at night. We cose a ' Comfort Pitch' which includes a decked and covered terrace, kitchen (well stocked)and fridge. Highly recommend! isabelle et jean louis Bérard, Propriétaire at Camping Belle Roche, responded to this review Thank you very much for your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back

Fantastic campsite in the middle of the Alps

    rating18 Aug 2019

We have stayed at this campsite previously - 2006 and 2007. We wanted to come back with our children as the area is so beautiful. The campsite has good level pitches and they have plenty of room for all tourers. Swimming pool is lovely and clean, well equipped with plenty of loungers. There are pool toys to be used and floats which was fantastic. There was a table tennis table - free to use, a table football, a trampoline, small playground area - all free and the children loved them. The toilet areas are okay but I do feel that they could do with a better clean each day. There was never a smell of cleaning products and I didn't see anyone cleaning them. However, they certainly weren't horrible but just could be better. The area is wonderful and quiet, the mountains are beautiful. We managed to stargaze both nights we were there and saw a meteor shower. The little shop in the village is adequate but don't expect a huge choice! Get there early for bread and croissants. But the campsite can order these for you.Overall, we would stay here again as we love the peacefulness of the area. belleroche38930, Propriétaire at Camping Belle Roche, responded to this review Hello Louise, Thanks a lot for your advice ! We are happy to see that you spent a nice time in our campsite last summer .Concerning the toilets areas, we have made the choice to use organic cleaning products without any chemical elements or perfume so it was logical you didn't smell anything !Moreover, the toilets areas are daily cleaned betwwen 11.30 am and 1.30 pm when there are less campers in the premices. We hope you understand our earth friendly way to rule our campsite.Hope to see you soon again in Lalley !

    We'll be back!

    rating28 Aug 2017

We were 2 families with 3 kids ranging from 5 to 9 and stayed in a mobile home and a tent. The campsite is very well maintained and mainly the bathrooms are spotless! We can not speak for all other shared amenities (access to fridge, freezer) as we used the mobile home amenities. Both campsite hosts Nathalie and her husband are very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated fresh bread and croissants coming to the campsite every morning on order. All families had a great time hiking in the morning in wonderful Trieves and enjoying pool, trampoline and petanque in the afternoon. Such a great place for a family reunion. We'll be back!

    Wonderful camp site

    rating03 Sept 2016

This is a wonderful little camp site. Travelled in 2 family groups totalling 8 people ranging from 12 years to 78. My hubbie and I had our motor home in the pitch next to my brother and his family with their trailer tent. Well signposted through the village of Lalley and received a wonderfully warm welcome from Nathalie. The site is spotless, this includes the shower and toilet blocks. You can literally do nothing except drink in the amazing scenery all around you or go out on amazing walks, cycle rides and visits to adventure parks and down hill cycling. The food that Nathalie produces in the small cafe/restaurant is very tasty and HUGE portions. You can eat in or get it delivered to your pitch. We spent a lot of time by the pool totally relaxing and having some of the scrummy smoothies from the restaurant. Pitches are all good sizes and nothing is too much trouble. There is a freezer near the wash blocks which everyone can use to keep items frozen in the hot weather. Plenty electrical and water points around the site. Dog friendly site - although dogs not allowed in pool area there is a great shaded area next to the sunbathing terrace so they can see you through the fencing. They are allowed everywhere else on site. There are plenty paths and fields nearby to exercise your dog safely and off lead if wanted. Visited a vet in nearby Mens prior to return to Jersey for mandatory vets check on our dog - all went very smoothly. Would totally recommend and will definitely be back.

    A gem of a place

    rating31 May 2016

This was our second stay here and it is a real gem of a place. If you want views of countryside and mountains, a good pitch and a warm, friendly welcome then go no further. Natalie and Patrick are excellent hosts and really go out to look after you. You can enjoy Natalie's cooking in the cafe/bar by the pool, followed by long walks to walk off the calories. You are very well cared and catered for at Belle Roche.
