Great hotel, well situated, lovely ski hire at Ski Pro 2000

    rating29 Mar 2026

A lovely friendly hotel with great food. All staff were so helpful and went the extra mile. Really generous in letting you make your own packed lunch with you. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable as a solo traveller. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice to have a bath. For ski hire. Highly recommend SKI PRO 2000. Not only were they friendly, helpful, kind etc. But it is also situated right next to the telecabine lift and the ESF school. You can leave your apres ski boots there, so don't have to carry your skis and boots any distance at all

Not a great start but the hotel grew on us

    rating19 Mar 2026

Sadly after checking in to probably the smallest room we’ve had on holiday, we had no hot water which lasted for 2 days. It was frustrating being on a cold ski holiday and desperate for that hot shower at the end of the day. However it eventually got fixed and we had no further issues. The rooms are super small. We had to push the beds towards the wall each day just to make some space to go into the wardrobe etc. Again being on a ski holiday you tend to have extra personal belongings with Ski wear, helmets, gloves etc. There is nowhere to hang jackets etc at the end of the day. Please put some hooks up on the wall near the bedroom doors, it will make a huge difference. There was Literally two electric sockets over the far side of the room with a small extension creating 2 extra.. It’s a pain having no bedside sockets or USB/USC ETC. It’s not all bad though, it was a nice addition of a fridge and nespresso machine in the room! The Room was nicely heated and the beds comfortable. The All inclusive concept is unusual to say the least but it worked well for us. Breakfast and lunch is all in one. Basically Breakfast/lunch runs from 07:30 until 13:00 each day and you can come and go during that time. It worked for us as we would skip breakfast and just go at about 11:30 for brunch after a couple of hours skiing and it would be lovely and quiet then with a mix of breakfast items and lunch items. You can also pack some sandwiches/Cakes etc to take with you each day on the slopes. They provide packaging which is a great idea and a nice touch. The Bar and restaurant have proper Coffee Machines which you can visit throughout the day when passing by! It was Good Coffee too! There is one bar in the hotel with a single server. It took a while to get pre dinner drinks and there was generally a Queue. Weirdly if you want a drink with dinner (apart from Wine & Water where you helped yourself), you have to take it in with you from the bar or during your meal go out to the bar and join the Queue before coming back. An unusual concept. The Boot/ski room is cold, wet and Musty. No heated racks and you are advised to take everything to your room as can’t be guaranteed safe. There was barely any space in your Room as it was so we had to take the chance and leave boots/Skis in the Boot Room. Most people do and I’m sure it’s safe enough as the room gets locked in the evening. The Whole area of Isola 2000 is exceptionally dated. Literally hasn’t been updated since the 70s. The evening scene is very lacking if that’s your thing. This resort could be amazing but needs some serious money spent on it. So why have I given 4/5 Stars? Well, It’s incredibly reasonable to stay here. The food is Fresh and tasty (if not a little repetitive). The staff are all friendly and helpful and the best part of all is the fantastic Ski in and Ski out. They don’t rip you off like other resorts and you’re only in the hotel to sleep and eat really (which were good on both counts). It’s easy to drive from Nice Airport, just 90 minutes and plenty of free parking when you arrive! Yes, we will return as the Skiing is excellent which was the whole reason for our visit.

Excellent for ski in and ski out, however, it's not cheap - small resort, but perfect for a few days skiing. GREAT Staff in reception.... rooms are okay.

So good we stayed here twice

Le Pas du Loup, Isola 2000: Our second stay at this hotel and we would stay again.Pros: Popular with families. Fully inclusive - the food just keeps coming, lots of choice and tasty. Decent rooms and enough lounges to relax. Ski-In, ski-out. Adjacent to Intersport for Ski equipment. Close to the Lift Pass Office.Cons: No beer on first two evenings, coffee machines empty too often (declared broken? then working next day, until empty again). In the ski room the ski racks had come off their runners so couldn't be moved - some maintenance needed. (None of these issues the first time we stayed here.)

The hotel's location is ideal, right on the slopes. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The restaurant is good, with a good variety and quality of food. The service from all the staff is excellent.
