  A lovely hotel now back to its best.Good value for a grand hotel in a superb location.

  We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the past ten years.The last two years were a disappointment but this year the whole atmosphere has changed positively.The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the gardens are tended immaculately and the service is greatly improved.The dinner is much better than the last two years and the breakfast excellent and very well managed.As ever, the reception staff are charming and helpful.What a transformation.We love this hotel.   A 5 star experience in a 3 star hotel.

  What a wonderful stay in this hotel. The staff are very kind and attentive. Chef cook Hervé was kind enough to tell me which shop to go to and find the cognac I was looking for. The food was also good. No thrills with nouvelle cuisine but excellent dishes that are prepared with attention and eye for tradition. Breakfast was also good. The star of our stay was our room nr. 2 on the ground floor with a large terrace and almost 5 meter high ceilings. The airco was working good and WiFi as well. Beds are firm and the bed linnen of high quality. The beautiful old building made this a stay to remember. We will surely come back.

  Poor air conditioning

  Beautiful location hotel. We stayed for 3 nights in late July 2024. The hotel is probably was extremely uncomfortable with barely no air conditioning throughout my stay. Extremely disappointed and so t be visiting again. As we would have done of course the necessary to fix it. It would be good for us to have the name of the reservation and room n° so we can check properly and investigate.   Some concerns about the management of the hotel- a great location and good rooms but not enough staff.

  We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over a number of years and always enjoyed the experience.The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the air conditioning is great.The staff are very well trained and polite- but the hotel is now very understaffed and it shows.There was one person running the entire restaurant- acting as maitre d’hotel, waiter, sommelier: he did a great job, but was clearly under pressure,The reception staff were likewise under pressure and seemed to work very long hours.The staff are loyal to the hotel but I would not be surprised if they didn’t return next season.The food is fine, but this year the menu didn’t change over five days- and there was no printed menu- just specials which never changed.The hotel has started putting A board advertising signs on the road outside the hotel- it looks a bit tacky and doesn’t inspire confidence- yet the hotel seems to be be full.I wonder what is happening here..

  Thank you to the staff and management for hosting my daughter’s wedding. It was everything we wanted and more. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate with family and friends. The wedding was spread over 3 days and everyone at Hôtel l'Orangeraie did everything to make it so special. Would highly recommend this hotel.
