    We loved our stay at 1924 hotel. We were particularly impressed with the breakfast, which included gluten-free options and always a good, healthy variety of delicious choices, including fresh (and amazing) jams/spreads. The coffee and cold drinks were also fantastic. Best thing about the hotel was that you could borrow bikes to go explore the city!! The front desk staff were really kind/helpful and we loved the location (less than 15 minutes walking from the train station).My partner loved waking up to the smell of bacon & eggs & other morning delights wafting up from the ktichen (we had an interior-facing room just 2 stories up from the main level).     More like a hostel than a hotel. Very basic rooms. The lift just about takes one person and luggage! The TV remote batteries were flat and the bathroom had no heating and was freezing! Lino floors and generally not great. Should be €50/night and then no cause to complain but it wasn’t. To be honest, Grenoble is not a great place to visit unless you are skiing. It’s run down, dirty and has graffiti everywhere. Couldn’t wait to get on the road and escape it really! We have made the 1924 Hotel, a Grenoble house, authentic, charming, with the choice to favor quality, well-paid staff, a beautiful geographical location, a homemade breakfast with local products, a bar menu selected by our care, bicycles available.I find you on the fact that we can actually sleep for less, to have a standard hotel without soul or warmth...We have chosen to offer the best, and if price is your priority I understand your reaction, this is our approach and I understand that it does not suit everyone.

    The room was just perfect and the bed was better than in many 5* hotels. Everything was very clean. The equipment was modern and very appealing. Nice and very friendly staff.     Decent Hotel - a few things to improve

    The hotel is in a old part of Grenoble so you get the tram noise but overall its quite good - especially compared to many similar priced alternatives in Grenoble. Staff good. Breakfast a bit minimalistic and short of table space - need a choice of yoghurts and better tea selection. Biggest issue is the price of recommended parking - 26 Euro a night is a complete rip off; and just for this reason I will probably not stay here again unless the hotel organise a sensible discount.     Very friendly staff, free water, coffee and cakes at all time. Next to the train station, in a quiet street. Reception was open 24/24 so I could leave my luggage there and collect it when I needed it.
