    Hidden Gem

    rating28 Mar 2026

Nice apartments good location all you need.A little out of centre, but only really 10 mins walk up hill to shops, easy coming back, not a prob if fairly fit.Ski in, ski out, 2 min walk to drag lift, onto main piste, easy, then to come back same blue piste to home.Best slopes i thought our local ones and opposite, i thought Valmeinier was nicer than Valloire, so glad picked it. Outdoor pool nice for legs after days ski, free, not too busy. (didn't use steam room/sauna, i think 10 euros a go)Apartments bit old but ok, had all you need, only downside tv wouldn't allow Firestick to work, poss blocked, i had fantastic view of whole valley, after i asked to change rooms which they did fair do's, block H at front best views i was in 302 and great !!!Ski room also only couple doors down from my room.Brilliant ski area plenty for a week, lifts ok some a bit slow but cheap pass.Tip, no kitchen stuff provided, take it all, shop very expensive, washing up stuff, dishwasher tabs etc Staff nice, no issues, this time no funny business with charging me for things like parking, as they have done other Odalys places, so no complaints.Lovely resort and ski area. Good value and great location

    rating13 Feb 2026

We were slightly concerned about the reviews and ended up being pleasantly surprised. We found reception staff helpful and check-in smooth. We had a6 person apartment between the two of us, so plenty of space- it would have been a squeeze at full occupancy. The kitchen was fine- no oven but the microwave is a combi one, if you can translate from French! Well appointed in terms of crockery although no chopping board. Absolutely nothing consumable is provided- bring your own washing up liquid, tea towel, cloths, soap etc. The vacuum cleaner was falling apart. The place was clean for us, but I think this depends on who's been there before you. The ski locker is too small if full occupancy and not heated- we took our ski boots into the apartment (not wearing them of course) to dry out each day. Great location next to the Sauzette tiny drag lift to get into the Epilobes blue. A short 10 minute walk into Valmeinier 1800 along a pavement with some street lighting. Not many restaurants were open when we visited, but some great take away options. You could order pastries and bread from reception the day before. The pool was quite small, got busy, and wasn't quite warm enough to linger. Pleased with our choice Guest Relation, Owner at Residence Odalys Le Grand Panorama 1, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your detailed experience at our holiday rental. We're delighted you were pleasantly surprised! ??We're happy to hear that our reception team was able to assist you and that check-in went smoothly. Thank you for your feedback regarding the kitchen equipment and supplies. We will take note of your comments about the vacuum cleaner and ski storage space to make improvements in the future. The location next to the Sauzette ski lift is indeed one of our main advantages! We look forward to welcoming you back very soon! The Odalys Vacances Team

You have to get through the chaos of check-in, where the staff, despite the chaos, were very friendly. Apart from the first 1.5 hours, we had a wonderful ski holiday and were able to eat delicious food in Valmeinier.

    Nice place for skiing holiday

    rating22 Jan 2019

Nice apartments: Lift to underground parking garage, proper heating, adequately equipped kitchen, very close to the piste. Ski shop/rental on hand in the complex. We didn't mind the walk to Valmeinier 1800 for restaurant/supermarket etc.Few things that could be better: the "heated" swimming pool was quite cold, there are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging clothes/towels, the dishwasher was functioning but not really cleaning very well. Not all of the reception crew speak english.

just great! fabolous. "private" lift to the run going down to the huge skiing area... and the heated water swimming pool at night :) ... if you want you also can rent the ski on place. nice girls at the reception ( in case you need to print your ticket for bus to the airport , just ask for help :) ). Good quality of all equipement in the kitchen as well. and the best is the morning or evening panorama ...
