    What a pleasant stay!

Stayed 3 nights in this quiet hotel. Clean, nice, service at the restaurant neat and attentive. Very nice dishes tasted. Very nice room. Special mention to Betty, the smiling and friendly maid. I hope I can get back to it. Originally submitted in French on www.fr.tripadvisor.be. View originals.

    Excellent place to stay

We loved our stay here - originally I gave a bad review on Hotels.com (it was meant for another hotel - but hotels.com would not remove my review - so I am apologising to the hotel on here). Thank you for a perfect stay - we loved the room, the staff were amazing, the location great for getting the bus to the city centre, the area outside safe and quiet. The bathroom was perfect, great size shower and sink, comfy bed, good lighting, eco friendly toiletries, blackout drapes a great idea. All was great and would definitely come again - highly recommend, thank you, and sorry for my initial bad review - hopefully Hotels.com has taken it off their site.

Inside is a lot better than it looks on the outside.

    rating20 May 2023

The hotel is in a ok place a little far out from Grenoble and from the outside it doesn’t look that good.It also has a “secure” car park, trouble is when the barrier is operated to seal off the parking area we noticed an unlocked gate at the other end of the car park. However it is of 4 star standard, once past the sliding entrance doors you are greeted by a good reception area.It says that you can check in at midday,we arrived at 12:15 and told the room was not ready. We waited about half an hour.We we’re allocated our room and it was of a really good room of a high standard, clean ,modern, well equipped. We asked the lady receptionist about getting into Grenoble,we noticed there was a bus stop about 50mtrs away, but she was not that helpful, generally she was not very accommodating. We visited Grenoble using that bus service C1,which cost 1.80 euros per person each way.We paid cash. This is not the experience we were used to at previous Mercure Hotels,in particular the one in Bourge the staff were amazing. Also the restaurant was closed the night we stayed which they did notify us about a week prior. So we decided on the ravioli, which was ok that we ate in the bar area. The other evening receptionist a young gentleman, was more helpful. So I didn’t give 5 stars because of the inconsistency of the staff the location and outside appearance. I stayed many times in this hotel and I am always happy to come back. The Hotel has a private parking (free), bar, restaurant. Rooms are well maintained, only the beds are to hard for me but it’s a personal opinion, you might like it. Anyway, I recommend you to stay here, you won’t regret.
