  Excellent location, elevator, service and clean are the best features of this property. Is an old building, very well maintained, but room and bathroom are very small. Which is typical of French hotels. The breakfast offers a wide variety of items in a small but efficient space, sitting around 20 people. The staff is attentive, courteous and willing to help. Our room door gave us a lot of problems closing and/or opening with the magnetic card. After two days it got resolved. The mini fridge didn't cool enough but the air conditioning worked very well. The location is walking distance to car park, Tourist Office, restaurants, Aquarium and the old town. There is no need to rent a bike. It is good value. Rooms facing the waterfront can get noisy and we heard next room guests telephone conversations. Room 23 faces the Church on the side street with a beautiful view. The hotel is generally calm.

  Great choice in the Old Port and walkable from the SNCF Gare

  Great location in the heart of the old port area. Comfy bed and friendly, helpful front desk staff. One of the best 3 star hotels in which we have stayed in France. Our second visit and hope to come back for a third.   Really nice Hotel. Stuff at reception are very friendly. They offered us a juice. We had a nice room with a balcony with a beautiful view. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was really good they have lots of variety. Hotel has no parking but there are a few underground parking 10-15 min walk.   A great hotel with amazing port views

  This is our second stay at this lovely 3 star hotel which has been refurbished since our previous stay 3 years ago. We chose a balcony room with a view of the old port, and what a beautiful view it is to wake up to each morning. The staff are super helpful and polite, they do all they can to help make your stay enjoyable. We were there for 9 nights and during that time received 2 handwritten notes with a mini box of chocolates each time, a nice touch. Special mention goes to Catherine who speaks English like a native. It was Easter holidays in France when we stayed so La Rochelle was its usual lively and noisy self. The room was good at shutting out the noise from outside, although sound from other rooms can be heard a little. We didn’t try the breakfast as the dining room is pretty small and the tables close together.We were fortunate in that the weather was very warm during our holiday, however the air conditioning doesn’t seem to be turned on until 1st May so the room was hot during the early part of our stay. The staff arranged reliable transfers to and from the airport. We would recommend this hotel and hope to visit lovely La Rochelle and this hotel again soon!
