Wonderful hotel in a prime location

What a wonderful hotel! The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. The view of the port is stunnimg and it's centrally located so that you're walking distance from the train station and few minutes walk from the from dozens of great nearby restaurants.The staff is friendly and always ready to help. In fact, my wife forgot her pair of favorite earrings in the room and the manager called us to let us know. He even mailed it to us.All in all, this will always be my first choice hotel in La Rochelle.

Had booked this hotel for a 3 day stay with my wife and daughter in October, but cancelled because of the of the way the Managers where treating guests who complained about the work being done on the hotel.The guest comes first, always or they will book another hotel !.

This hotel is barely 3 star and certainly not 4 starThe service was poor. I was shown the WiFi password but was not told it was not working. The carpets are dirty and the hotel looks and feels shabby.When I got the room the bathroom floor was soaking wet. There was no milk with the coffee machine. I could go on. My impression is that the hotel is poorly managed and it's rating is not accurate There are some really good hotels in La Rochelle and this is not one of them

Fabulous location on the harbourLovely clean poolNice friendly ambienceFabulous room with noise proof windows.WardrobeSafe/ fridge Huge bed !Daily cleaning service Fresh towels, gowns and slippers Surrounded by lots of lovely shops , restaurants and bars . Perfect for walking to the shops and all the central areas .No need to have the breakfast since a few doors up is a fab Boulangerie and on the street behind is St Nicholas Boulangerie which is equally outstanding. They make a great cup of coffee though .SuggestionsThe steps into the pool are not safe . They need to be repaired More generousity with the wine portions !

Fab location right in the port. We were on 5th floor (lift access) at the back of the building but had great views over the roof tops to the port. The room was modern and clean. Very comfortable beds. The pool was great for a quick dip on a hot day. Service here has been great staff extremely helpful and friendly.
