Great location but not 5 star!

Great location, good parking facilities & friendly staff but room is more 3 star than 5 star. Not worth 500 euro per night, rooms basic, bedding & towels poor quality & below average breakfast. Exceptional Hotel but breakfast for the price was disappointing, see comments.

The ambiance of the hotel was exceptional. All the staff, were incredibly friendly, but I must mention the reception guy called Leonce, he made us feel so welcome and is a real asset to this hotel.The location of the hotel is excellent as are parking arrangements.The Hotel has plenty of relaxing areas to sit in around the bar, Room 506 was great with comfortable beds and pillows. My husband is extremely sensitive to sounds , we could clearly hear dogs whining at times when their owners had left them in the room, although it was short lived and not a a real concern.The only disappointment was breakfast which is open until 11am.. We arrived at 10am to find the hot food needing refilling and tables that had not been relaid although the room was by no means full. Worst of all coffee is from a machine and is undrinkable. On complaining, it turned out that a half decent coffee was available on request - not Italian standard, but acceptable as was other breakfast dishes available on request ,such as an omelette but we were never told this. At 32 euros, the breakfast offer needs a management re-think. Wonderful stay at The Maison des Ambassadeurs

We stayed two nights at The Maison des Ambassadeurs and really enjoyed the experience. The rooms were a very good size, beautifully designed, and the bedding was excellent — we slept so well. The staff provided attentive and professional service, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.Breakfast was a highlight, with high-quality items, all very fresh and delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel is elegant yet relaxed, which made it easy to feel at home.Overall, a charming place that balances comfort, service, and style perfectly. Average stay - lacking five star standards

We stayed for three nights. While the hotel markets itself as a five-star property, it falls short of that standard. In reality, it’s more of a quaint boutique hotel. The rooms are average at best, but the real issue is service quality.A true five-star experience is defined by immaculate housekeeping and attention to detail. Our room was never cleaned properly during the entire stay, which is a major letdown. The small touches and consistency you’d expect at this level simply weren’t there. Old, charming hotel with friendly staff and central location

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly. It is a beautiful hotel, but the building is definitely very old. The pool is small but peaceful - we didn’t feel overcrowded there. The hotel has bikes and e-bikes and we loved using them to get around the town. The beds were comfortable enough, but not super soft (as we would prefer). The lobby is really nice and we enjoyed relaxing there before dinner. We purchased breakfast and it was pretty good as there was a decent amount of options (a lot of pastries and bread with a few hot items). The location of the hotel was central and convenient. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend it.
