  This hotel was a little off the beaten path, there wasn't really a bus line or metro stop close by. We felt like we walked so far to get to the "sights", even though we walked just as far in the other cities we visited on this vacation. That being said, there were lots of fun parks and areas to walk around in. The main square had lots going on. Our room was tucked away from the street, so we didn't have a lot of noise. There was no a/c, but the window had a rolling shutter that we closed during the day to keep out the heat. It was still very hot, especially to sleep. I guess I'm just that american that is used to the a/c! We made do, it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was well set up and had everything. The bathroom was large enough. The wifi worked well. There was a big wardrobe for clothes, the bed, a desk, and table with 2 chairs. We could have used a couple of tables by the bed though. The hotel front door used a key fob to open, so it seemed secure. All the staff was very friendly. The hotel was comfortable enough, but next time I will stay somewhere a little more central to where I want to be.

  Poor student like accommodation with limited hot water

  We stayed for one night and it was total mistake! We have been at Adagio in Aix en Provence (see my other review) and we liked it. However only shortly after arrival we realised that Adagio ACCESS is its poor sister. Nothing was raising our suspicion as we booked the rate what we would have normally paid in Lille for Mercure. The furniture is dated, chipped and decor extremely basic. Welcome back to 1980s. My teenager had a evening shower first which although not long - it has depleted entire hot water from the tank. Yes! Each apartment has its own tank! Me and my husband had to postpone the shower until next morning when we were conscious that limited tank content is enough between three of us.We decided not to try breakfast if the quality was to match the accommodation.Entrance to the parking is seriously obstructed by the construction opposite so as a result the approach is very limited to already very narrow gate. Due to this setup our car has been scratched and expensive repairs to body work await upon arrival. The only positive is that windows open, it was quiet at night and sheets were clean as well as it is just 10 min walk to the Grande Palace.We could not wait to leave, what a unsuitable place for the price of better Accor brands. I rarely give two star reviews but I do not recommend this place at all!

  A weekend in Lille

  Very nice aparthotel located in 10 minutes walking from the centre of Lille. The room for four people has all needed, included a small kitchen equiped with fogonette and fridge. In our case the room had a double bed and a sofa-bed. In general it was very tidy and clean towels and bed sheets were provided. The staff at helpdesk is also nice and helpful.Just to notice that the building is quite old and the walls seem like paper, you hear everything from the room next to. Also, there is no one at the reception for the check in until 18h, so if you want to leave things before this time you cannot.Overall, I recommend this stay in Lille.

  Great value for money and a warm welcome

  From booking onwards I was impressed with the lovely staff I dealt with, they were all really helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for access by car with its secure car park, far enough out of town to be easy to drive to but stil within easy walking distance of the main square. There are also loads of bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby - don't miss the huge outdoor market on a Sunday morning at Wazemmes, just 10 mins away on foot. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. It would have been nice to have a kettle and the wifi was a bit hit and miss but the pros far outweighed the cons here and I'd not hesitate to recommend this Aparthotel or to visit again Louis DUFNERR, Guest Services / Front Office at Aparthotel Adagio Access Lille Vauban, responded to this review Hello,Thank you for your kind comments!   Not perfect, but amazing value for money

  Location, location, location... 10 minutes walk from both the old town and the Vauban park, but still with free parking on the street, and incredibly quiet.Of course, this place has a lot of room for improvement (tiny TV, no kettle, no bedside table, not enough electric sockets, plastic shower curtain...)
