  Arrived Friday & was advised lift was out of order so we had to lug our luggage up to the third floor Despite assurances it would be repaired it remained out of order for the three days of our booking I have an injured knee & it was awful having to walk up and down so many stairs I told reception this but just a shrug. Would not have booked to stay here if we had been made aware there was no working lift. The safe stopped working our first night & we couldn’t open it to access our valuables. The batteries had run down. Person from reception couldn’t initially fix it so we had to wait for him to come back with a device to open it & he said we should not use it anymore so then we had to carry our passports and valuables around with us for the remainder of our stay & lock laptop etc in suitcase and hope they’d be ok. Despite being advised this would be fixed in the morning this remained unresolved.The safe is completely unsecured anyway as it isn’t bolted down & and can be lifted up and moved so rather pointless No coffee mugs supplied just 2 flimsy paper cups.No housekeeping visit so paper cups not replaced nor toilet paper replenished nor were beds madeSo disappointing as we stayed here last year with no problems but something has changed for the worse

  Excellent location near rail station, shops & restaurants. Generously-sized room with kitchenette, tiny bathroom with spacious-enough shower. Bed ok. Altogether clean & convenient. Service very friendly & competent. I’d stay there again for sure.

  We stayed in a family room with a double bed, a sofa bed and a child’s bed. It was an attic room with a high up skylight window, tiny kitchen area and tiny bathroom with bath and shower. We were only visiting for one night for the Olympics, and it suited us perfectly. PROS- room was very large with plenty of room for a family of four- plenty of hot water in the shower- strong and adjustable all day air con, absolutely necessary in the heat - black out blind on the sky light- you can’t beat the incredible location, right outside Lille Flandres, and 5 min walk to the centre or Westfield, 10 min walk to Lille Europe for Eurostar.CON- no window to look out of means we wouldn’t want to spend too much time in the room - but that suited us- the communal areas are pretty poor for a hostel - tiny and hot breakfast area and a couple of crowded sofas. Too hot and dark for breakfast.

  Very calm at the Calm Appart

  Staff are friendly, when we arrived it was going through a redecoration phase. The stairs were being painted. No disruption at all though.A bit of a smell of paint.And shows they are looking after it.However, although the rooms are clean, big, fully facilitated and comfortable, the bed in our room we found utterly uncomfortable. Just way to hard and not to our tastes. We added some quilts under the sheets! This helped, but still.I am sure some people love a solid bed, but not us Size wise, super king! So plenty of room!

  Poor svc, no wifi pw given

  I checked in late at 1030pm and was redirect to another hotel abt 6m walk away to check-in. I was told to find my wifi pw in the room.After I checked-in, I cannot find the pw in the whole premises including reception. I also found 2 smelly uaed towels in the locker. I need to walk back to the other hotel n ask for it again. This time round, the guy told me he dont know. He said he had asked in the group chat, and no one replied to him. I was mingled with this for 2hrs standing at their counter, waiting for his reply till 12+ am. Their WIFI is generated by their system, each having a different ID and pw. The room is at basement so I basically can not receive any network n I do not have WIFI. I cannot finish my work and need to leave the next morning. I only get a reply from them 2 days after i check out, this is hilarious.I will never never patronize this hotel, including any of Accors anymore. Their service staff seriously need more training. This the FIRST hotel I went that does not provide WIFI in the last decade.
