    Fantastic Lille Hotel

    We recently stayed at this hotel in early April and arrived late via train close to 22:30. Unfortunately the hotel had experienced both a water and WiFi outage through work done by the city.The response from management and reception was superb and swift. They were very accomodating and offered bottles of water and breakfast for our inconveniences. The manager Aurelie Sanchez answered my email immediately and was extremely helpful. The hotel itself is well decorated, modern and very clean. All rooms are well equipped and have kettles and nespresso machines. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, varied and delicious. Also the location of the hotel is fantastic if traveling by train and very close to the old part of Lille.We look forward to a return trip. Do not hesitate to book here!

    Last weekend (Easter), I booked a cityside-view room at Hilton Lille for my girlfriend’s birthday. We drove over 3 hours from the Netherlands to spend a nice night in Lille.Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told there was no room available. Despite the fact that I had already booked and paid through Booking.com. Completely unacceptable.Hilton arranged a replacement hotel for us: L'Hermitage Gantois, Autograph Collection, which is supposedly a 5-star hotel. This meant another 30 minutes of driving through the busy city center of Lille.When we finally arrived, we were given the smallest room, with barely any daylight and an outdated style. This was completely different from what we had originally booked at Hilton and did not match our expectations at all.I immediately called Hilton to say this was not acceptable. They told me they would discuss it with the manager and call me back. After an hour of hearing nothing, I had to call them myself. The only option they then gave me was to cancel the entire stay and get a refund.So that’s what we did. We packed our things and drove all the way back to the Netherlands. Due to the Easter crowds, there were no other suitable hotels available anymore. We didn’t get to see anything of Lille. My girlfriend’s birthday weekend was completely ruined. And all of this after driving over 3 hours each way — with current fuel prices, an expensive and completely wasted trip.It is absolutely outrageous that a hotel can accept bookings and payments for rooms that apparently don’t even exist anymore.This is beyond unacceptable, especially for a brand like Hilton.

    Good stay , with some variable service

    I stayed here three nights on a business trip. Its a nice hotel, with nice area with a bar and places to sit and work beyond reception. Breakfast and the restaurant are good, although dinner options are limited.Service was a little variable. Reception and the bar area didn't always have cover , leaving you standing around as no one was there, and my room was not serviced one day , which seemed strange as I had not set do not disturb. Beds were comfortable, rooms were large and well equipped.

    This hotel is great, especially if you are travelling on the Eurostar. The hotel is adjacent to Lille Europe station. I stayed in room 905 looking out the back of the hotel, the room was well equipped and USB charging outlets, an amazing bathroom with the usual crabtree by evelyn bath products with fluffy bathrobes. I loved the chilled water and the mini bottles of lemonade went down a treat in my room.You have eurolille Westfield shopping centre just 5 minutes away from the hotel.I liked the quiet executive lounge it was spacious and quiet. Was lovely to chat to other guests. One thing i would ive liked to have seen is more labelling with allergens for the products on offer in the lounge.I only had one issue was room service was poor and no one was answering the phone. I would have dined in the hotel, but one was responding, when i spoke to someone at the front desk i was advised i would be called back this wasnt the case.I must give a great shout out to Victor who was great speaking english with my rubbish french. Even though i had a service issue with no room service, i still managed to get food elsewhere and i will 100% be returning very soon and look forward to see improvements here.

    Practical for Eurostar

    We had a good two night stay at Hilton Lille in December.The location is practical when arriving with Eurostar with luggage as it is one minute away from the station. The city centre with the shops and restaurants is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The only place close by where you can eat close by is Le Barbier chi fume. There is no mini market in the area.The people at the reception were friendly and always helpful, even though there was often a long queue to speak with them.The room was big for French standards. We stayed in room 906. There was a busy road outside we didn't hear any noise, so they had a good sound insulation. There was a good amount of storage space. There was a kettle, a coffee maker, and an empty mini fridge.The maintenance of the room was not satisfactory. We had an empty shower gel bottle and an empty body lotion bottle in the bathroom. We mentioned that at the reception and they got the shower gel bottle refilled but not the body lotion bottle. The coffee pods were not replaced for the second day but we did not complain about that as we did not need to make coffee in our room the second day. The small towels were taken away after the first night but not replaced. When I told at the reception and they organized them to be replaced. One of us put some used feminine hygiene products in the bin in the bathroom the first day, but the bin did not get emptied during our stay.The breakfast was good and as can be expected at a Hilton hotel. The bar area was cosy. However, we were once charged incorrectly. The young man at the bar counter charged us 15 euros for 2 glasses of St. Emilion. It should have been 14 euros. It was too late to complain as we had already put the charge on our credit card and we only noticed when we checked the payment slip.Despite some of the mishaps we had overall a good stay.
