I absolutely loved this hotel. Very clean. The restaurant is nice.. great selection of food at all meals. I love the lounge area and the shop there is handy for picking up souvenirs too. Its in a great area close to everything..would definitely recommend.

Almost a messed up stay
16 Sept 2025
We checked in on September 5, 2025, a Friday afternoon and the check-in person said, “Oh, you want a shower don’t you.?” We thought, don’t all rooms have showers? She said they will get Room 117 ready in 15 minutes because our original room 412 has a bathtub. We get into room 117 and it’s the most disgusting room ever. Shower corner has no separating wall from toilet and sink area, toilet was dirty, walls were dirty and living room was small with 2 separate single beds. I went down to the lobby to express my disgust to the lady who checked us in and I said I want to see the first room she booked us in. We get to room 412 and in addition to the bathtub, it had a shower anyway. Room 412 was much better than room 117 by a mile so we said we’re moving to our original room 412. Otherwise, we were moving to another hotel. The room still had the same 2 single beds. However, we found out that a large group of young Irish volunteers and what looked like older people they were caring for are always gathered in the lobby and restaurant all 4 days we were there. And they would sing songs loudly until past 12 midnight.

Dear Lito, We are sorry for this inconvenience. We thought we would make you happy by upgrading you to room 117, which was renovated this winter. You chose to stay in room 412 (a non-renovated room with a bathtub). As you mentioned, our rooms are equipped with either a shower or a bathtub, but not both. Regarding the noise in the bar, we are sorry that this may have disturbed you, as our hotel has historically been known as a place for international guests to stay and meet, which may explain the lively atmosphere in the bar. That said, we still hope that you enjoyed your stay in Lourdes and the surrounding area. Kind regards,

Great location

Staff were very helpful. Room had everything we required. Beds were comfy. We had a duplex room for 4 adults. 5 lifts serviced 8 floors and no long waits. Bar area was remodelled since our last visit last year and it's very airy and bright. Great view from patio area as on river.

Avoid like the plague
07 Sept 2025
If you value your life, do not go near this hotel. I would not make these comments if they were not based in truth, I make them as a warning to others. I stayed at the hotel as part of a travel group/pilgrimage and had a terrible experience. A member of the group suffered a medical emergency (which turned out to be a consequence of the complete negligence of the hotel due to a maintenance issue that was not taken seriously.) The staff refused to call a doctor, and were incredibly rude and unhelpful. To describe it as a 4 star hotel also is beyond a joke. Avoid at all costs.

a very enjoyable and friendly hotel to stay in whilst in Lourdes.
13 Aug 2025
We stayed at the Hotel Solitude in Lourdes whilst volunteering with the Salford Diocesan Pilgrimage. We were full board in an ensuite room with a balcony overlookibg the river. The food and choice was varied and of good quality. We would stay there again.
