  Visited for a short break with family. We booked the family duplex room with 2 beds downstairs and 2 beds upstairs. The upstairs contained 2 single beds with a very small bathroom but it was perfectly functional for the kids. Downstairs was more roomy, a good sized bathroom, there was a fridge and kettle with a condiments tray consisting of teabags, coffee sachets, sugar and biscuits. Room temperature was just right. Room was very clean and spotless. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location is great, it is less than a 5 minute walk to the Sanctuary & Grotto and a 10 minute walk from Avenue Du Paradis which is where you can get the airport bus. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

  Rude Assistant Manager Claude

  Thought this hotel would be perfect for our Lourdes trip. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel clean. We had booked our spot for an evening meal. Then came the problem of milk in the room for our cup of tea. Both my husband and I have 2 of the small cartons in one cup and there was only two cartons so we asked reception for more plus another couple of biscuits. The young girl on reception was very helpful and asked how many we needed. However, the awful older woman, named Claude, said we could go and buy milk from their coffee shop! She was most adamant that we couldn’t have more than one milk each even though I explained we both have two in one cup of tea. She’s supposed to be assistant manager but is totally inflexible and is SO RUDE to customers. We cancelled our dinner reservation for the evening. This aggressive, awkward and rude woman should not be in that kind of position if she cannot deal with people politely and in the Hotel’s best interest.

  Finding a hotel with good service in Lourdes isn't easy—the city is incredibly famous, especially among religious people, so hoteliers often see no reason to try to attract guests—in any case, they have no shortage of tourists. But the Hotel Padoue proved a pleasant exception. The first thing that impressed me was the reception staff. They were very friendly and competent. As for the room, it was small but modern in design and had everything necessary for everyday life. All electrical appliances and plumbing were in excellent condition. The hotel is located right next to the sanctuary, no more than a five-minute walk away. We would happily stay at this hotel again.My only request would be for breakfast to be a little more varied. Many thanks for hospitality and comfort.

  They’re advertising themselves as a four star hotel, but it’s not true. The lobby and restaurant look lovely, but once you get to the rooms, it’s a different story. The beds are extremely hard, my back is going to ache for days! The shower tray was cracked. The sink was cracked. None of the power outlets worked so you couldn’t charge anything. The heater/air-conditioner didn’t work so the room was boiling. To top things off, housekeeping burst into the room at 9 am WITHOUT knocking while I was in the middle of getting dressed and allowed my dog to almost escape the room! The door was bolted shut but their key allowed them to enter all the same. I told reception when checking out and didn’t even get an apology, just thanked for letting them know and then she disappeared! I would not recommend. The only good experience was checking in where a very helpful lady gave me a map and showed me where to go, she was lovely. The other staff should take note.

  Fantastic hotel..Central to all..spotless clean , Excellent & friendly staff, Food very good. Rooms are spacious & bed very comfortable.
