  Well, it started at check-in. The person at the reception asked us for a credit card without explaining why. I asked if any deposit would be charged, and he said it was only to register the card, in case we “completely destroyed the room,” adding that “we were Brazilians and liked to party.”I gave my card, and to my surprise, the next day I saw that the full amount of the stay had been charged, even though it had already been paid through Booking.The following day, I explained the situation and requested a refund.I checked out of the hotel recently, but I was unable to obtain proof of the refund to have evidence of the hotel’s mistake, only an email and a phone number. After a month since my complaint, I am still waiting for the refund to appear in my bank account.   Worst stay ever

  Checked in yesterday for 5 nights .. it was a particularly hot day ! Hotel description says air conditioning but doesn’t mention it’s according to season ! They didn’t have option to change the room where there is no direct sunlight ! They don’t have fans to help customers who have normal body temperatures , who feel hot when it’s hot ! They recommended we should sleep with windows open , after 24 hour long travel we didn’t sleep a minute due to people shouting and traffic sounds due to open window! Don’t know who designed the rooms but I m sure he would have zero common sense ! Why would you have seperately bathroom and toilet with washbasin in bathing room ?? Every time I use the toilet I open both doors with dirty hand ! They make scrambled eggs in microwave as they don’t have pans etc in kitchen ! We paid 90 euros a night for a hotel which shudnt be called oneNothing to eat if you want something fresh ! No salads no fresh fruits .. nothing at all all you get is precooked food ! Pathetic , don’t know what kind of hotels people who have this hotel 4/5 stars have stayed in before here but this is the worst one for me !

  Stayed here every time we came to Lyon , but this time we were so unsatisfied. It was a totally different hotel and attitude.There were signs of No Smoking and 80 € Penalty everywhere but the room smelled of heavy cigarette 7/24. One of the elevators leading to the parking lot was out of order but the receptionist ‘forgot’ (!) to warn us when we checked in, so kept on waiting for an elevator in the dark which wouldn’t come and had to carry 3 big luggages out of the parking lot and around the building to re-enter the hotel. Apart from the hotel the city is under huge construction so going anywhere by car from the hotel was a true disaster.   This hotel is very affordable. The staff is friendly and speak English. The breakfast is a buffet, not rich but there is something for everyone, croissants are delicious. Rooms are standard, a bit old but clean.   Hotel itself was fine. Room was large enough. Toilet is separate from the bathroom. I like that. Breakfast was ok, but not what I expected. I remember more choice in similar hotels, but I did not leave hungry.It is a 15-minute walk or so from the station and a 15-minute walk or so to the old town. A supermarket across the road and some simple restaurants around the hotel, but you are better off to walk apx 15 minutes to Les Halles de Lyon. That is where the real food is.
