  A Good Base

  If you're looking for a place to use as a base in Meyzieu this is perfect. Close to the stadium and arena, loads of restaurants near by. We don't loads of "amenities" when traveling. We use a hotel as a place to rest and this was perfect for us. Other reviews complained about the bed but I like a firm mattress and I slept really well here.

  We booked a room last minute to see Dua LIpa at the LDLC area to save us travelling back into the main city, we checked the website and were impressed with the price €97 and the images of the rooms looked lovely. Sadly the pictures are nothing like the actual rooms. They are very dated and dirty. We checked the bed as we do in every hotel we stay in, and the mattress protector was covered in pubic hairs and yellow stains. The shower cubicle also had pubic hair in it. There was also some kind of red mark on the door to the bathroom that looked like dried blood. On the headboard there was some kind of dried in food that had been left to harden.The air conditioning worked but was very dated.We didn’t actually stay the night as we couldn’t bring ourselves to sleep in the bed which was covered in pubic hairs as mentioned above, so we got an Uber back to our Air bnb in the city which cost us an additional €30. I would not recommend booking this hotel until it has been fully refurbished and cleaned

  We were a bit disappointed. Not so clean room, loads of hair from previous visitors 9n floor and in bathroom (sink, shower) stingy chemical smell in the air, bathroom had excrement smell, broken toilet seat only fixed on one pin, torn bed linen. White socks were dark after walking on floor in the room. The vending machine that empty. It took the money but doesn't return tea. Was unfortunately the case from our point of view. Breakfast was simple but acceptable. Staff was friendly.

  Perfect Location for the Stadium

  We stayed at this hotel for the week that Lyon was hosting the FIFA World Cup semi-finals and finals. It was perfect. The rooms aren't luxury, but they were clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Very simply furnished. The breakfast was perfect and very well done. We had AC during this heatwave and we had other friends that stayed places that didn't. On top of that if you are attending an event a the stadium it is an easy walk. Incredible how convenient it was. Also, the tram to go to town was an easy walk as well. It didn't take that long to get into town to see the sights when we had time. There are plenty of restaurants and stores around here as well.

  If you are going to the Stade de Lyon the location is awesome, otherwise the location is mostly for auto travelers, as the location is 25 driving minutes from "downtown" AKA old Lyon. On grounds parking is plentiful and secure. Uber and taxi are readily secured, with the train station 2-3 km distant. Room is above average in space but lacks any luggage butlers for suitcases. Breakfast is not luxurious, but highly adequate. Room service is not endemic, but ordered from reception area computer to offsite vendors; but was delivered on time and was good. Bath is more spacious than most Euro ones. Receptionist (BB) at the front desk was wonderful - excellent advice and a problem solver of the highest order. Hair dryer are loaned from front desk, if they've not been all loaned out; 50-50 on my two visits in July.
