  Older style hotel but all amenities of a modern “block hotel “

  On recommendation of a colleague, this was the perfect 1 night’s stopover on my way to Italy.It’s located in the centre of the town, Google Maps struggled at the very end of the trip, but put me in the closest vicinity.There is a public car park just outside , the receptionist came out to advise me on the most economical option €2.20 for an overnight stay.The room was basic but very comfortable, aircon is available in the summer, modern bathroom with all amenities, tea/coffee making facilities if required. Bed firm but comfortable sheets clean and crisp.I didn’t visit the attached restaurant as I wasn’t in the mood for a formal sit down dinner, but the menu looked great, priced appropriately. I discussed my options with the receptionist who guided me to various options within a 5 minute walk.Breakfast is your typical European style with a few hot options, all very tasty and sustained me for the next few hours of the journey.

  Great view from Superior Room

  The view of the old church from the Superior Room was well worth the extra cost. Room was large. Staff was friendly. Nice extra touch that there was complimentary fruit at front desk.   Nice hotel in the middle of town

  This is a nice hotel right in the middle of town, a little difficult to drive to. The rooms had been updated extensively, but our bed had a slight slope back towards the headboard. The hotel restaurant did not have a broad enough menu for us to eat there, though well decorated. We would have liked to seen a chicken dish, a risotto dish, etc. We found a fun, vibrant restaurant a block away. Breakfast was a little lacking, also served in a separate room away from the restaurant. With such a restaurant, they could have offered a-la-carte cooked items. Bourg-en-Bresse is a predominantly pedestrian town, which can sometimes make circulation a bit tricky.   If you are staying in Bourg-en-Bresse you must stay in this hotel. Beautifully refurbished at some point fairly recently. It retains the features of an older hotel whilst having all the modern conveniences. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I am looking forward to staying there again.   Nice Hotel with Good Restaurant.

  Nice hotel in a good spot with a very good restaurant. The price of the room was reasonable. The bathroom was excellent and there was ample parking in the square in front if you did not want to use their parking area.
