  Dissapointing after staying before

  We stayed here as it was a convenient stop over to break the drive down to Spain and is pet friendly. We have stayed before and although basic, it served a purpose and was reasonably priced. This time it was just awful, freezing cold room both the wall heater and fan heater did not work. The fan heater blew out cold air. There was no TV remote, the bed was so uncomfortable as it was like camp beds with lumpy pillows, the bathroom door was broken and my partner got stuck in the bathroom (that would have been interesting if there was a fire). The bar was closed which was the final straw as we couldn't even just have a little drink in a warm bar to make the night go by. The only good things are the pet friendly aspect, the free parking and the half way location of driving towards Barcelona from Calais. Hopefully they will clean up their act. I appreciate it's out of season but still taking bookings and very much open and charging a fair amount to stay and sadly it was less than acceptable. We never reported it at the time as we were tired and just needed to bed down and leave as soon as possible. We won't use thks hotel again. Ibis and Campanile are much better and also pet friendly and located throughout France and in any cases cheaper and with decent beds, pillows, heaters and facilities.

  Arrived and the place was empty, looked dodgy since arrival. Got card to room, windows were disgusting, chipping and rusting away. Walking into the room the smell was foul , could not stay, you would definitely be leaving the room smelling the next day… no sorry or nothing from the lady at reception who was very well spoken in English, think she expected it as she didn’t even put the money away yet just gave money back straight away. AVOID!!!!

  A very dirty room with broken furniture. Bathroom was a small, plastic cabin, with a broken shower. The airconditioning did not work. The hygiene of the room was very questionable, which was confirmed a few days later:…. I was bitten by BEDBUGS…! All in all, an awful stay.

  This hotel is close to the motorway/ring road northwest of Lyon.It offers nice bedrooms and a great breakfast, where your ‘needs’ are laid out and presented with care. No ‘goose chase’ that morning. The hotel was not an expensive overnight stay on our way across France. We were happy.PS This Brit hotel is classified as a confort hotel.

  The hotel located in a quiet neighborhood of Dardilly, suburb of Lyon. The staffs are friendly and polite. The hotel's restaurant serves dinner (until 9:00 PM) and breakfast (if you choose to include breakfast in your booking). Breakfast is common across France (I guess so) with croissant, baguette, jambon, etc. Dinner menu is fixed for everyday, sometime there will be additional dishes (written on the board).The only thing I didn't like is that rooms are not soundproof, and doors are not well sealed. If you stay during winter time, you can feel the cold wind blowing in even with the door shut.There's the Auchan Dardilly Hypermarket on the other side of free way, which can be reached in 15 mins of walk, and a Burger King restaurant not far from the hypermarket. Notice that this hypermarket closes during Saturday's afternoon and during Sunday, so you should get something before weekend. The hotel's restaurant also closes during weekend.If you're not a French-speaker and you travel by public transports, it will be difficult for you to get around. There's not any single taxi standing by around the hotel, and even Uber is hard to find. The staffs can help you to call for a taxi, but notice that beside the actual taxi fare you will have to pay an additional fare for the taxi to arrive and pick you up at the hotel (depends on how far from the taxi's location to the hotel). I don't know if that's a common thing in France but that's what I experienced.Overall, the hotel is a good choice if you travel with your car, or you're a French speaker that can take buses or taxi.
