  Rooms can be better, but it compensating with the people attitude!

  The stafff is very nice and kind, same for the food and service.Their rooms can be a bit renovated but since we are traveling for bussines trips this is a good choice when you need to sleep, get dinner and breakfast in the same place.This is where I stay everytime I stay here Olivier Guichard, Autre at Hotel Campanile Lyon Est - Aeroport Saint-Exupery, responded to this review Dear guest, thank you for your recommendation.   How can this 1 Star hotel be falsely advertised as a 3 star? So many issues!

  Advertised as a 3 star but when we arrived the hotel looked like a 1 star hotel. The price of the hotel did not match the lack of value.1. Shuttle process is confusing, no pick-up at the airport exit. They wanted us to walk with bags in blistering 36C heat to an unknown parking area. Couldn't understand where to find it in a strange, city airport, so we took a bus.2. All rooms were warm in the high temps, and both rooms offered had little to no air working. But the lobby/restaurant was nice & cool. We asked if could stay in the cooler area and were told 'No' because it's only for the dining area (but will not be used for the next 4 hours!)3. Bugs all over the small closet-like bedroom (advertised as 3 stars?!!? How?!) Moved to another room - same problems.4. The building is run down, see pics.One young woman was very helpful and the man first gave us attitude but was later helpful as well. The woman from the kitchen staff kept us out of the most cool comfortable area even though it was empty and the entire hotel was nearly as well.5. The driver of the shuttle ride back to the airport was recklessly doing 80 in a 50 area. We tried to go elsewhere & spoke with a couple who did leave for the same reasons (they had a car). We chose to stay because of the far location (for walking) without easy transport, not finding economical options nearby, & sheer exhaustion. We bring small fans on summer trips, that was the only thing that made it possible to sleep in our warm room. We would definitely NOT recommend this hotel! We understand how frustrating it must have been to navigate in the extreme heat, and we will review our shuttle procedures to ensure they are clear and accessible for all guests. We regret that the air conditioning in your rooms did not work, especially during such high temperatures. We are working on improving our cooling systems to provide a more comfortable environment for our guests. The presence of bugs are unfortunately an occurence in this high heat due to the location of our establishement, and we are taking immediate steps to address these issues. Regarding the use of the cooler lobby/restaurant area, we apologize for the lack of flexibility shown. We will discuss this with our staff to ensure that such situations are handled with greater consideration for our guests' comfort. We are also addressing the concerns about the shuttle driver's behavior to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests during their transport.   Restoring Faith in French Food

  AMAZING FOOD. AMAZING SERVICE. FROM APPETIZERS TO THE MAIN COURSE. THIS WAS THE BEST THING I ATE DURING MY STAY IN FRANCE. After a tough week and tough day this was needed to help relax. The place is amazing. The staff is amazing and very welcoming.   Great food and motel.

  The employees are very hospitable. They were very friendly and answered all of our questions as much they could.Whenever you have a flight that is canceled or rescheduled, this is the right place to stay. You take the public bus for 2 euros, you book the room for rougjly 80 euros for 2, which is a fair price.The rooms are clean and well spaced. The food is very good.   Good functional stay

  I wasn't sure what to expect here, but I had a good night sleep despite arriving late and leaving early.
