  Good hotel for 1 night on our way south

  This hotel is located close to the ‘autoroute du soleil’ which is why we picked it on our way south. Downsides: it’s located in a very industrial area, with a huge factory just next to it. There’s no fridge in the room. You pay 100 EUR on average/night for a double room which is quite overpriced if you ask me, but it’s just the price you pay for a clean room in French cities. Plus: friendly staff, secured parking, decent breakfast, clean room. In just a 5 min drive you can reach the highway again and continue your road trip. Rooms were quiet. We had an issue upon check-out due to Trip.com having provided wrong information to the hotel (I had paid for a room with breakfast to Trip.com and the hotel couldn’t see the same on their reservation system so they thought I hadn’t paid for breakfast.) It was the first time I booked a room via Trip.com. It took me a while to find out how I could talk to their customer service. After 5 min of chatting with customer service, I got one of their assistants on the phone who talked to me first, then to the hotel staff and after the talk, trip.com asked me to pay the hotel for my breakfast once again and said they would refund my breakfast, which they meanwhile did. But all in all we nearly lost an hour of our precious vacation time due to this issue, which is why I’m very reluctant in using trip.com for a second time. I never had these kind of issues with booking.com or hotels.com. Luckily the Campanile employee remained friendly all the time.   Good but too expensive

  Rate is too high for this kind of hotel, a little bit far from LyonGood point for the free parking and the direct access to the room.The price of the breakfast is too high the quality and the limited choice.   Good place to stay

  Nice little hotel hidden away a little bit. Straight off the highway. Ideal if you don’t want to loose time when on the road. Very clean rooms with direct access outside. Bathrooms are modern and clean. Big screen tv with excellent quality image. Good choice at the breakfast buffet. Fresh bread and croissants. Eggs, bacon and sausages. Large choice of cheese and yogourts. In the evening for dinner they have a menu with a good choice of different kinds of local and international cuisine. Front office staff is friendly and professional. I recommend this hotel whether it is for one or several nights.   OK for overnight stop

  This was fine for an overnight stop. It's close to the autoroute but I doubt I'd have found it without a satnav! Sadly owing to staff shortage the only thing available for dinner was pizza. Rooms are compact, but adequate.   Great stop while your on the road

  As other reviewers have pointed out, this hotel is not suited for those hoping to be a tourist in Lyon. It's in an industrial area outside of town. It's location makes it a perfect stop for people traveling the Route Du Soleil! Too tired to go on? Drop into Feyzin and have a meal and a good rest at the Campanile!The rooms are layed out in motel-style, each accessed through its own front door. While the rooms are small, they are comfortable. You will not hear your neighbors and the sun can be blocked out with excellent rolling shutters. Airconditioning keeps your room comfy in the French heat. You wouldn't expect it, but the onsite restaurant serves great-tasting food. I've seriously had some of my best food of this holiday, simply while stopping for the night somewhere along the road!
