    We stayed there for 3 nights as a family. The hotel's theme is old fashioned french secondary school. They have lovely quaint old school furniture in the reception and breakfast area. The rooms are very plain but the beds are very comfortable and the shower is good. They have a lovely terrace on the 2nd floor with plenty of seating. They dont really have a bar or restaurant but the hotel is only a few meters away from cafes, pubs and restaurants. The staff was very accommodating and the housekeeping team even tucked in her daughters teddy when they made the bed which was a lovely touch!     beautiful hotel in an excellent location. I tried the breakfast, which was very basic, with no service and practically self-service for everything. The cleanliness of the room could be improved a little. Otherwise, everything was fine, and the water dispenser was also good idea. We serve a breakfast buffet, and depending on how busy it is, there will be one or two staff members in the dining room to assist you if you need anything.     Great location and charm with some comfort issues

    Collège Hotel has a charming, creative design and a very convenient location in Vieux Lyon, which makes it a great base for exploring the city. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, even if their English is a bit limited.Although listed as a 4-star property, it doesn’t fully match the standard of a typical Austrian four-star hotel. The rooms have a nice atmosphere, but they can be quite noisy, as the windows don’t insulate well — the hotel even provides complimentary earplugs. The traditional key (instead of a card) adds character, though the door is a bit tricky to open and squeaks noticeably. The bathroom is simple and functional, with a similarly squeaky door.

    Overall disappointed. Bathroom felt chilly. Mouldy around bath sealant. Curtain not hung properly. Really annoyed that breakfast was not included, given the rate at 220 € for the night for one person.
