    Nice hotel let down by couldn't care less service.

    we stayed here for 1 night on a cross France weeks driving holiday. After 2 solid days in Paris this was a relaxing spa hotel before our onward journey to the south coast. Hotel style, room interior, and evening meal (if a bit pricey) were all great. We used the spa which was small but had all the main aspects. in the morning we had breakfast which was your usual continental fare. Our issue arose when we decided to use the pool before checkout. My wife put her apple watch in her robe pocket in case we needed the time (no need in the end as a clock on the wall). we went back to our room to get ready and packed to leave. 90 minutes after check out, on our trip south my Wife realised she had left her watch in the robe. This is where the great experience was soured. First person we spoke to told us that the rooms were cleaned and robes sent to the cleaning company. So no reason for us to turn round. They would contact us if anything found. A bit later i realised about apple tracking and we checked her phone to see that the watch was still in the hotel. Called again to be told by another colleague when we said this, huffily said that no they hadn't been sent out yet but there would be 1000 robes and so there is no-one to go see if it was there. Clear now that first person lied to shut us up and second person when queried on this really couldn't have cared less. Gave a real arrogant attitude of, well if the cleaning company find it we will let you know. We proceeded to track it for the next 2 days, still on property until the battery ran out on the Sunday evening. We called again to advise that it was still there, to be told that they would have been sent out now definitely and they would forward us the email they had sent to the cleaning company - not sure what good that was for. Upon our return home to the UK a few days later we got an email to say it hadn't been found. We tried to let the whole trip across France not be spoiled by what was clearly a collective attitude from the people here to not really caring about someone's lost possession. So in short a nice hotel, no denying, just don't have any issue or need support with something that could be rectified with a bit of common sense and effort cos you wont get it here. Bad taste left.     Great hotel with outstanding food and spa

    This is an amazing hotel, just on the outskirts of Lyon. The amenities are much superior to similar hotels I have experienced and the food is great (check out the amazing wine list.!). The staff is very attentive to clients needs. We had multiple services in the spa and were impressed: facial, body scrub and sports massage. Kudos to Christelle and Salma! It is rare to find good spa providers in hotels. Here, the personnel is highly trained. My mom and I enjoyed every moment. It was a great way to celebrate her 81st birthday.     A very stylish hotel with high levels of comfort

    We had a night's stay here on the way to a ski holiday. It is a really lovely, well designed hotel with free parking and in a location just off the motorway that is easy to find. It's also near the supermarket Auchan for cheaper petrol than at the motorway services. Great to stay in the Lyon area without having the hassle of going into the centre. The rooms and communal areas are very stylish and comfortable and the hotel certainly deserves its star rating. We had a fantastic stay!Just a few things that may be useful to know that aren't necessarily clear or advertised on the hotel's website:Dinner is an unusual affair! It's a buffet meal, offering starters, mains and deserts but priced depending on how many courses you have. We were asked how many courses we were going to have at the start but we said we didn't know until we saw what was on offer and told the waiter how many we had had once we had finished! The food was nice enough but we felt it was quite pricey for what we had. Hopefully my memory serves me correctly with the pricing (give or take a euro!) - one course €33, two courses €35 and three courses €39 with drinks on top (about €8 for a glass of wine).We only had starters and a main as that was plenty!The pool is free for guests to use and dressing gowns are provided free of charge. The spa however is an additional €15 per person for an hour for guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast was very tasty and set us up well for the day. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly!     Hard, if not impossible to beat.

    The reviewer has stayed at this hotel four times now in the recent past, in different categories of room. This really is a benchmark Four Star business/leisure hotel. Constructed recently as a newbuild hotel, the hotel does it owners/developers proud. The fitout quality is excellent. The fittings and material usage is exceptional with style and verve. The furnishings are above average for a four star property. The smallest rooms are 23sqm, very intelligently laid out and very comfortable. The room colour schemes alternate between Orange Curtains/Black Carpet and Light Green Curtains/Beige Carpet. The beige carpet is a problem addressed below. The toilet is separated from the shower room as is often the case in France. The bed is a medium/soft king or twin. There is a desk and chair for those wanting to use a work device. There is good hanging space, a small fridge, a place to store excess pillows and folded garments, and a wide luggage shelf. The smaller rooms also have a pleasant small banquette for lounging. Ironing boards are available on request. Room illumination is good both day and night. The rooms are quiet even with the balcony door open for natural ventilation. Possibly the best aspect of the hotel is a daily breakfast and dinner buffet offering that is absolutely five star exceptional. The Hotel should be immensely proud of this offering. It puts its competitors to shame. The food is fresh, diverse, tastes natural and appears to be produced from scratch in house. Genuine French food culture is alive here and this reviewer is grateful not only for the quality, but also the excellent value inherent. Service has been good on each occasion. The restaurant's atmosphere is reasonable at both breakfast and dinner.Another excellent aspect is the Hotel's Gymnasium, Spa and Pool. The gym is adequate, but the pool and spa more than compensate. Parking is covered and free with direct access to the building. Electric vehicle charging is available outside for a charge.Negatives with the hotel are mostly minor. The front desk staff are very young, somewhat inexperienced and not really backed up by senior customer facing managers. The shower receptacles in the suites have no place for toiletries such as shampoo, soap, loofahs, etc.. The air-condtioning works on an ideological not effective basis as is usually the case in France. A big problem is staining of the Beige carpets in some of the rooms. It is disgusting and needs urgent attention or it will tarnish the reputation of this otherwise exceptional establishment. Photos are attached for reference.The hotel is generally clean, tidy, quiet, reasonably priced and unpretentious. It represents exceptional value overall and is highly recommended.
