Location

This city hotel is located 5 km from Lyon - Perrache, at the start of the northern ring road (Periphérique nord) and the A6 highway towards Paris or Marseille. Public transport links are close by, and the hotel is approx. 30 km from Lyon - Saint-Exupéry International Airport.

    Beware way out of Town

    The Hotel was an adequate Holiday Inn with a good sized room which unfortunately didn't contain a Fridge but did have T&C making facilities replenished on request.it is way out of the City Centre near a Motorway junction and required an expensive Taxi Ride to and from The Rhone Express to get to and from the Airport.Probably better for those who have a Car - my fault for skimping on the research.Breakfast was okay at 17 Euros but nothing special.     One night was enough

    For a drive through from The Netherlands to Nice I choose this hotel to stay over for a night by using my IHG points. Friendly staff at check in. We needed to eat some dinner still and they asked if it was possible and it was. Friendly staff also in. F&B, but the environment to eat dinner in was not nice. Too bright lighting, eating at tables that are set for breakfast, the place had absolutely no atmosphere. It seems as if the management of the hotel doesn’t want you to eat in-house as they have done totally nothing about decorating a nice vibe. The breakfast was also rather poor for a Holiday Inn style. I wonder if the overall Holiday Inn commerce team ever visits this hotel because in my opinion it would NOT pass the test for the standards of what HI wants to ensure to it’s guests. Again, staff was very friendly and helpfull but this hotel needs to upgrade it’s public spaces. On our way back we were supposed to stay another night but I cancelled that reservation. Improve dear HI Lyon!

    Exceeded my expectations. Room was a good size, with a comfortable bed. One nice feature was an ironing board and iron for my business clothes (rare in France). There was also a hair dryer, but mine stopped working after 30 seconds. The gym was small but included a (very) small treadmill, as well as a great selection of free weights. And it was very close to my room on the 5th floor. The best part of this hotel was the food at breakfast time (included in the price of the room). There were crepes, croissants, and very delicious fruit options, plus really good tiny sausages. My favorite were the flavorful oranges. The only down side to this hotel was that the location was very far from the TGV (hi speed rail station) — I took a local tram / light-rail and the also walked 26 minutes with my giant suitcase to get to this hotel.

    The staff are friendly and very helpful. Alexis, in particular, was kind enough to take our bags to our room and give us advice when we had to go directly to a game we were late for. As Diamond Elite members, we were upgraded and the room was lovely. A great hotel that we would recommend.
