    A Decent Overnight Stop

    A classic travellers' hotel just off the Autoroute. Very easy access. There is a large parking area beind the hotel but it was very busy when we arrived on a midweek afternoon. We found a space however. Be aware that it is actually in Limas not in Villefranche sur Saone. The room was small but adequate for our one night stay - I doubt many guests are there for more than one night in any case.The attached restaurant turned out to be very decent both for dinner and for our pre-paid breakfast. Before dinner we were able to sit and relax with a drink on the terrace in the evening sun, which was most relaxing.     My stay at the Ibis Hotel in Villefranche-sur-Saône was pleasant and convenient. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its proximity to the highway. Located right next to the autoroute, it’s perfect for travelers looking for easy access without the hassle of long detours. Surprisingly, despite being so close, there was absolutely no noise from the traffic, making it a peaceful place to rest.The staff here were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile.     Good base for the night

    I was driving through France and booked the IBIS Lyon Villefranche-sur-Saône for the night.The room was the typical IBIS type room which was fine and had a double bed with a small sofa, table and chair. There was also plenty of parking next to the hotel. There is a large supermarket nearby and the IBIS also has a restaurant which was very good.There was a good choice for breakfast and the staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful.     Friendly staff - very noisy room

    Friendly welcome at the reception, food in restaurant also good. Waiting staff was a bit hasty. The rooms were clean but very very noisy. You could hear everything from your neighbours and the airconditioning was making constant hissing sounds. No need to set your alarmclock, the checkout of your neighbours will warm you.     Hello - Is Anybody There?

    We arrived after an 8 drive from Spain. Reception was empty. A young lady then appeared - and disappeared again. She the reappeared carrying drinks to a table. Next she appeared with a cloth and cleaning fluid and went to wipe a table.It was over ten minutes before she came to deal with check in of guests. It appears that Reception is also required to staff the bar which, on a busy weekend night with lots of arrivals is crazy. I have to say she didn’t seem bothered that reception was filling up with arrivals.Restaurant was good with staff trying to deal with a gale outside which was making life difficult. Food was good. Service from our young waiter was great - he was efficient, friendly and good fun. Maybe promote him to a job in reception!
