    I didn't even have to show my passport, as soon as I walked into reception the staff recognized me from previous visits and checked me in straight away with a smile. It's a good feeling when that happens. A bountiful breakfast spread as always.

    Stayed at hotel during Rugby World Cup, and have to say room was very good for the price, and well proportioned. Nice bathroom, comfy bed, plenty of hanging space, and it was very clean. Was in room 504 which overlooked the front of the hotel.Breakfast was either continental or full, but was pretty basic whichever you had. Did always have enough to eat.Main disappointment of this place was the bar, which seemed mostly unmanned and shut at 10. Staff unwilling to open despite there being quite a few in bar area.Location is 2 tram stops from city centre, so easy to get to, and a few minutes from tram stop.A decent base for us, and pretty good value for money.

    Very friendly staff at the reception on the arrival, room was big enough bed was comfy and everything was nice and clean. We travel with dog and we found dog bed and bowls surprisingly clean compared to others we found around, super happy about our stay.

    The Best Western Saphyr Lyon is a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel at the upper part of the City of Lyon. The metro station is quite close. I would recommend it for everyone who is travelling alone or as a couple.

    We only stayed here for a short time after arriving late at night, but we were really impressed. The member of staff at reception was extremely helpful in allowing us to park our large van outside the hotel, and we loved the cat bowls and treats that they left for our furry friend. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the beds are amazing. Great place to stay for travellers driving through France!
