Location

The hotel is located 100 m from the Rue de la République, the main shopping street of Lyon. The Cordeliers Bourse metro station (line A) is a 3-minute walk (400 m) away from where guests can easily discover the city. There are also a number of attractions nearby, including the Opéra de Lyon and Place Bellecour.

Facility

41 rooms, including 3 single rooms and 37 double rooms, are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus.     I returned to this hotel went in lion because of the great location on the Presque, the wonderful, helpful staff that always have a smile, and they thoughtfully decorated, quiet rooms with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, and small attentions like a coffee machine.I would have appreciated USB ports and electrical plugs by the table, my only request.     Perfect central location, calm atmosphere, and genuinely welcoming staff. Everything felt easy, and the English-speaking team made the stay smooth from start to finish. The room we had was a great size, and very clean with a little balcony overlooking the city. Free coffee & pastries in the lobby too :)If ever in Lyon will no doubt stay here again!     Great staff, good rooms - not a 4 star hotel.

    The location is great, the area is vibrant. Lots of great restaurants. Middle of Lyon and placed between two large city squares. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. But, I wouldn’t call this a 4 star hotel. Overall a great location, the rooms were clean and can’t complain about overall experience. BUT; the rooms are feeling dated, the wallpaper is starting to curl, the bathroom counters are chipping. But again, very clean and great staff. The only part of the hotel that was whack, was the smell of the lobby. I don’t know if it’s because this is a Victorian building? But the lobby smelled like sewage for 2 of the 3 days. The rooms were fine, but the lobby smell was unexpected. It straight up smelled liked poop. BUT overall, this is a very old hotel building, that is very close to all the great spots of the city. The staff is friendly, the hotel is very clean. The smell of the lobby, albeit not constant, was very unpleasant. Overall atmosphere was great. Room was great but felt a little old. Staff were great, especially Valerie. The lift was out of service but didn’t impact us as we were on the second floor. Finally, I would recommend the hotel. But I would be weary of telling anyone that it was a 4 star experience. The value was good though! Not a hate post. Great spot but review is for a 4 star hotel like it claims on the front entryway.
